     THIS IS IT. The moment she’s been working, yearning, searching tirelessly towards. Yet somehow, it still takes every ounce of c o u r a g e in Lilith’s body just to crawl out from behind the flipped car that’s been her refuge for the past fifteen minutes. Her legs stall for but a second (just long enough that she’s afraid they might actually collapse beneath her) before chasing after the imposing figure, working twice as hard to catch up before they have even the slightest chance to vanish from view.

      “Diana!” It takes far more than a moment to still her voice’s shaking. Once she succeeds, the tremor only moves on to her hands, trembling even as she wrings her fingers together. Heart pounding in her ears, Lilith takes one step closer, then another -- just enough to lower her voice, neck craned back to meet the AMAZONIAN gaze suddenly trained solely on her. “You... you’re Z e u s’ daughter, aren’t you?”

I mean, sure, they’ve got every collected edition of Bathilda Bagshot known to humankind, but I’ve been looking for a good copy of A Brief History of Time and can’t find anything. Do you also find it frustrating we barely touch on Muggle sciences and technology, or is that just me being mad?”

kathryn’s fingers danced along the controls, trying to salvage the descent. something had collided with the shuttle, and there had been some sort of temporal rift -- she didn’t know how it started, but all the captain knew was that she was falling to the ground far too fast.r

with a quick moment’s thought, she brought the thrusters into full reverse, and braced herself for impact into the ocean below. she lurched as the water dampened all of the inertia of the broken shuttle, sending her into a bulkhead. After a decent amount of skidding toward land, the shuttle had seemed to stop; it was taking in water, but slowly. 

kathryn managed to get out through a hatch on the roof of the shuttle, otherwise ignoring the bleeding from her head and the pain in her shoulder -- the woozy captain was trying to make it toward land before she lost consciousness. 

she needed help.

      “ what was it like? ”   she questions her mother, head tilted to the side,   “ the war i mean. that’s how you and dad meant, isn’t it? ”   lyta took a swig of water as they took a break from training, since they had been going at it for the past four hours and she decided to take advantage of the peaceful moment, hoping to finally get some answers.
