I know this will never happen, but I would actually kill for Dragon Age to have/celebrate holidays in game.

First of all it's just cool world building. How does an Andrasian holiday change between Tevinter and Ferelden? What about Neverra or the Anderfells, or the Avvar, what do they do? What about holidays relating less to gods and more to spirits, or just random ones that we have for fun, or special dates in time marking an event?

But the thing I really want is characters. Like maybe they get super excited about it, or they're not fond of it which you could turn into a bonding moment, or others could educate you on holidays from where they're from which would also be SO cool like yes please Zevran tell me about Antivan holidays that you may or may not be making up. Sera, tell me about how you hate this one holiday cause it's so stupid and bad but you love this one cause it's all about pranks. Sten! Tell me about Qun celebrations and then let me point out how my pointless holidays are fun and also have a cookie!

Or what about Solas who probably doesn't know shit about the modern holidays of Thedas. Like super common holidays that he has to bluff his way through knowing about (he could ask Cole, but whether or not he would know is debatable) or just give random excuses like "oh we never celebrated this back in my nondescript village" and "I was conveniently no where near anything whenever people were celebrating this I guess"

Or my personal favorite iteration is that he does celebrate modern holidays, just in an incredibly traditional way (because that's the only way he knows how to) and everyone's just like ??? No one has done that for like a bajillion years where did you even pick this up from??? And he'd probably just say the Fade/spirits/his nondescript village/probably throw something in there about how the Dalish don't do anything right because he likes to start fights
