between crashouts about my personal life i have been watching the pitt cast crashout and noticing some things... the cast seem to be kinda split down the middle... the people who supported patrick at becky shaw (the woke ones) vs the silent ones who seem to be more zionist / white. like noah wyle and his bs versus the young anti-zionists almost... isa liking that tweet on twitter, supriya getting unceremoniously booted out amidst rumours that she spoke up too much for the woc... I can't say I'm surprised but I am disappointed that its turned out like this

"pre-emptive strike" is such bullshit. at the very least the media should be using the phrase in quotation marks and couching it in language like "this is what Israel is calling it". at best, they shouldn't be fucking using that language at all

I need an analysis written on why in rehearsal footage of that early scene where Patrick and Art celebrate the doubles win hugging and falling to the ground, Josh is clearly on top, but the scene in the film Mike is now on top

i watched ballad of songbird and snakes a day after i read the book and imo it was like. an Okay movie. they should have focused more on the psychological aspects and snow as a character rather than on the action of the games

a huge problem when it comes to adapting books into films is that in books you have access to a rich inner world of a character but it is very difficult for that to translate onto the screen. so a good adaptation will fill out other characters' motivations to make up for that lack, as in give us more insight into other characters to make up for the less insight into the primary character. TBOSAS does not do this

so im 12 eps in to New Life Begins and i figured out why the drama is actually really good and why im enjoying it much better than other sort of hanfu or Chinese dramas

and its because the main villain of the story is the patriarchal system. thats why you have great scenes showing the ladies’ solidarity with each other and real human emotion that keeps people together, like Shangguan and #5, and also why im looking forward to the relationship between Li Wei and Yuan Ying because instead of catty infighting they actually band together and the real issue is the institutions of arranged marriage and marriage alliances, rather than individual evil people (though of those exist too)

i stopped caring about john mulaney a long time ago but i feel like the fact that he posted a really old photo of himself with petunia while anna marie tendler is posting so many photos of her with petunia is like. wow john really left that family and didn’t look back huh

i started watching the netflix ASOUE and i wasn't aware they shot ALL the books!! it's so exciting to see and its nice that they've kept so much of the sardonic, fourth-wall-breaking humor that made the books so wonderful to read
