Jodie, ever the cop, tried to set up a better government in hell once he got back, but quickly realized (partly from Zhao Dae's memories) that trying to set up a fair court system is impossible.

thinking about how both Nicky and Jodie might feel immense grief for the people who were in the Glenn timeline because Nicholas isn’t Nick and Jodie isn’t Zhao Dae

they both remember the memories they had but they were forced onto them all at once. With the added on thing that Jodie and Zhao Dae being two separate entities. The faerun court seeing Zhao as unworthy of redemption and used to punish someone else.

both Nick and Zhao are gone. And both Nicky and Jodie having to deal with that knowledge of who they were and having to deal with them being puppets to punish one guy.

For those who don't know who Zhao is.

Zhao Dae is the demon that was first in the battle axe of hatred and then in Jodie. They now currently share a body.

And those who don't know how that works. It's because Jodie was the cop that found Morgan in close timeline on the highway. And wasn't just spawned out of nowhere.
