🌳 Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?

Well, he's much much more depressed, and sad boy tm esp after Trahearne's death. He also changes physically after he gets balthazar's magic, his cherry blossom colours turning fiery orange and burnt purple. They definitely worked through things at this point but nothing can beat the worry-less days of that first year in the grove. He'd advise his younger self not to be so rash and wait for Trahearne instead of running away. His younger self would advise him to stop being so cautious and live a little.

⭐ What is your OC afraid of? Any crippling phobias or some such? How do they act when scared and what helps them calm down? Does anyone ever find your OC scary? Why?

Losing his loved ones. Especially after he starts to open up again after Trahearne's death. He's also got Thalassophobia, aka fear of open water. He usually calms himself down by doodling in the sand or on the wall with mud or smth else...later once he got a sketchbook as a gift he doodles in that. And nobody would normally find him scary but once he's mad..mad Zheag is scary.
