hex became a corporate sell out bc they never thought they'd make it beyond college, let alone to graduation
hex feels guilty about having more money than their friends, so they frequently make them food or give them small "thinking of you" things; even when they're tight on funds, they are constantly mindful of taking care of others.
they're so scared of losing people that they've frequently lost themself. they're on a (rocky) journey of self discovery since overcoming their initial shock of life beyond graduation; only recently have they been able to understand their sense of self.
z is hypervigilant. they're suspicious of kindness. only two people have ever made z feel like their kindness was not conditional on their ability to ingratiate themself.
