Because It's You (Past) || Vivian & Zi
The world felt as if it were going to implode in any minute, because somehow she felt like she was in utter bliss. How long had it been since she had been this happy? There were her days of travel, yes, but nothing seemed to erase the pain in her heart - the pain of not knowing what her future was going to look like. It once was supposed to be this magnificent, simple future of her seeing the world, taking her pictures and just living life day by day. Everything, especially now that things have seemed to be progressing, seemed so far away. Unreachable. Unattainable.
Gone.
That's what a disease made you think about yourself... that you weren't able to function with society because of what lay beneath your skin, what was working, or wasn't working, in your body. If people found out about you, you become afraid of being casted off as 'fragile', and people wouldn't want to get to know you. Those were Vivian's notions, as twisted as they were. Sure, she was still her bubbly self because it was just who she was, but she was hesitant, she was wary - she was afraid. Never did she turn her head to those who wanted to share words, however, because if she did this she would be lonelier than she was now.
Dark eyes playfully danced around Zi as she adjusts the camera on the tripod. The corners of her mouth tugged into a smile as her hands shakily fixed the settings. "Thank you so much for doing this for me!" The nineteen (almost twenty) year old exclaimed as her hand moved through her hair. With Zi, she was nervous yet at peace at the same time - how it was possible was beyond Vivian, but she enjoyed the excitement of each moment. They were simple, they were... safe; they were friends. "I swear you always look so beautiful," she says to herself, her voice soft as if she were only speaking to herself (if Zi had heard her, wasn't a concern to her). "Just be yourself, okay?"
