SETTING: UCNW ; early evening AVALABILITY: closed starter for harrison hayes | ( @harrisonhayes )
Zian had just finished off for the day. An entire day spent inside his office, reading, grading, correcting and redacting papers meant he had little to no space left for distractions that deliciously showed up in the form of that invitation that kept popping up on his screen in the form of an unread text. An invitation to go back to his old.
A temptation in the form of a so-called friend who would only reach out whenever they wanted two things:
Sex and drugs. Not necessarily in that order.
But the text was etched in the back of his mind, burning brightly each time Zian checked the time — an old habit he needed to get rid of despite wearing a wonderful watch on his left wrist.
And now that he was done with his responsibilities from work, Zian was left with a lingering sensation that he shouldn't go home and be on his own. He, however, couldn't keep on relying on Jake to be his safe harbor each time he wanted to relapse. He couldn't keep being depending on others like that.
Upon lifting up his head, he noticed someone holding up a camera towards one of his favorite spots in UCNW grounds and that scene alone was enough to calm the twitching of his fingers against his messenger bag's sling over his shoulder. The sun was beginning to pain the sky in all of these beautiful, warm colors announcing the arrival of Apolo's chariot across the day, bringing in the summer evening in all its glory.
The surprisingly return of poetry to his thoughts was also not taken for granted by Zian.
"You might want to face your camera towards that angle." He said with a smile as he approached the other while pointing slightly towards their left. Twenty-three point two degrees to the left, to whoever was counting. Newsflash: no one was. Not even Zian. "The picture will turn out even better, trust me."
