The sound of the shop bell ringing caught his attention, his single eye flicking up from the words of a book he recently purchased earlier on, to catch sight of a woman entering in. The first thing that came to mind was how pretty she is. Beautiful was the right choice. Nathan realized that if he continues to stare at her it will come off as creepy, especially coming from someone with scars on his face since he’s not wearing his mask right now. He resorted to lower his head back down and turn away, returning to focus on his novel and drink his coffee.
The BLU dared not look up again and look at the woman. The thing he failed to do is tuning her out as he listened to what she’s ordering and the cashier repeating the order to confirm what they heard until he hears the cash register opening. It was still rude of him to listen, and yet the cafe was deathly quiet but the soft hums coming from the back and there was no one else in the building but him, the worker, and now her.
He had hoped she would leave once her order is ready. Instead of hearing the door opened with the bell ringing to announce her departure or the arrival of a new customer, he heard her voice. Talking to him. Asking if she can join him.
“S-Sure.” He said, almost too fast and nervous. He forced himself to clear his throat. “Sure, I don’t mind.” A gloved hand gesturing the empty seat across him.
