♥ Have they ever acting out of heartlessness?

Yes. To say Rhys hasn’t acted heartlessly would be a lie. Whether he did it consciously or not is another story. For example, his Eridium deal likely hurt a lot of people. He was likely aware that it would hurt a lot of people, and he did it anyway. Because he needed to move up in Hyperion and that’s what Jack would have done.

Helios crashing? That was another heartless act, but it was one he did on a whim. Something to protect himself, sure, but he didn’t think of all the other implications. Of the people he would also kill bringing the AI down with the ship.

It is these events that have caused Rhys to grow and to vow to help people. He does not believe in hurting anyone, will never dare to if he can help it. His main goal is keeping people safe. Unfortunately, being a weapons manufacturer, he does know that his guns get into the hands of bad people. But his goals are still sound and he’s working towards other means of protection while building Atlas back up.

Rhys jumped as the assassin seemed to appear out of thin air, clutching his chest from being startled. “Ah..Y-Yes! I did!” he stuttered out, “OK! So, there’s been a change of plans today! There’s been an issue at one of the facilities on Pandora – and I need to go assess it.” Yes, he personally had to deal with this one. “So…would you be ok with escorting me..?”

Rhys knew better than to think the other was ok. He knew better than to believe the ‘it’s nothing’ line, especially when the other was clearly bleeding! “Zer0…” he sighed, “No, it’s not nothing! I’m calling medical…” Turning, Rhys took out his Echo to call medical to his office. He felt guilty. He knew the injury was his fault too. It was Zer0′s job to protect him, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be upset when they were injured because of him. “Someone’s going to look at you and you’re definitely taking the rest of the day off…”

Character Flaws

The mention of a relationship or the words ‘I love you’. That is the number one item that absolutely terrifies Zane. He won’t talk about it and he will nope out of that conversation as fast as he can.

The second thing that would probably make him uncomfortable is going into deep detail about his family. Sure, he doesn’t mind telling the silly stuff. But the really personal stuff that goes back to their parents and his brothers abusing him? Nah. No thanks.

Character Flaws

That he has a soft side. Nine times out of ten he would be watching the backs of those who were on his team. When he was Vault Hunting for Jack, the group got close and he was there to watch everyone’s backs. Even some less qualified individuals who were just thrown into it (Tim). If someone tells him he shows compassion or any sort of caring emotion, he will deny it or act like he doesn’t know what you’re talking about.
