Unpopular opinion but I don’t understand why fans choose to boost the non-canon ships that get nothing but grief from actual writers or people heading the show in things like the zimbio poll. I understand wanting to have your favourites up at the top - especially if it’s the final year in the polls for some ships but wouldn’t it be better to show appreciation to actual canon-verse couples that are positively represented on a show or even couples actually respected or mentioned more than once or twice by actors, writers or producers?
Wouldn't it make more sense to promote and talk about what tv shows are getting it right?
