Fire Agate and Hessonite form Zincite!

Fire and Hessonite’s fusion won second place in a poll I had last year so I didn’t mind taking a break from Crystal Gem fusions to do this one. Zincite’s design was reused from an old Pineapple Opal concept design and a jousting knight fusion I discarded a long time ago. 

Zincite is a fusion on a personal journey: she’s off to discover more about herself and, hopefully, her fusees will too. She seeks adventure as a way to guide her towards self-discovery, as well as testing her skills and prowess. The fusion has even created a code of honor for herself: promising to help others in need and be generous. Despite this, she doesn’t follow it all the time. Even though she no longer serves Homeworld, it is hard to shake off its social conditioning. Zincite tends to favor Gems with higher caste statuses than lower ones, usually helping the aristocrats first. She also assumes non-fighting Gems are far weaker and in need of being saved, regardless if they are versed in fighting or not. And to her enemies, even if they were already defeated and running away, she will keep attacking them. Zincite thinks what she’s doing is correcting wrongs and believing she is doing the right thing. This of course creates more problems than she’d like.

Like her fusees, she has a very commanding presence: it’s very easy to have others listen to her. Pompous, ambitious, and a loner, she prefers not to team up and do things her way as she feels it will get in the way of her personal goals. From time to time, she will have bouts of self-doubt and insecurities, especially when she sees another fusion/Gem performing better than herself. In light of all of her flaws, she’s willing to improve upon herself so she can figure out her new purpose. Zincite’s weapon is a jousting lance and with her super speed and strength, she can cut down foes with relative ease. Commanding over the power of light and fire, many will have trouble taking her down.
