All content should follow the creators’ boundaries.
As Cherri currently has a ‘please don’t ask for boundaries’ post (found here) we ask that everyone follows Apo’s boundaries as a guideline for this zine (which can be found here). If anyone has questions about what is or isn’t allowed feel free to ask one of the admins!
NSFW (18+) allowed?
Absolutely nothing will be allowed as it does not follow character boundaries, no exceptions.
Blood/Gore?
Most things as long as they aren’t too graphic are okay. However if submitting as a portfolio piece or in the server if you get chosen make sure to spoil images/content and provide a warning
Is shipping allowed?
For this zine, shipping content is okay as long as it is the characters and not the content creators.
-> The characters have canon romantic relationships in Bannerfall and Vampires and as far as we’re aware the creators are fine with it and have engaged with shipping contests and content. However, if this changes we will also change our guidelines to comply with the creators’ boundaries.
Reusing old work?
For this zine, we ask that all pieces created should be created within the creation timeline period. However, creating something inspired by a past work as long as it’s an original concept is allowed.
Generative AI?
No generative AI will be permitted to be used by any member of the zine.
Price?
The Zine will be free to download and view. Because we are not making a profit, no contributors will be paid. The entire project is a massive volunteer project, the only currency is love for creative work and time <3
Can you do both art and writing?
No, each participant will only create one piece. However, you can apply to both, but might get chosen based on what gets fewer applicants so keep in mind that if you do have a preference.
Do you need a tumblr account to participate?
No, all that’s needed is an email (that does not have your legal name to avoid doxxing) and Discord account!
Is there gonna be a set size for a canvas?
Yes! All pieces will have to be sized at an A5 standard size which is 1757 pixels wide by 2580 pixels long (14.8 x 21 cm) This will also be a digital zine, so all pieces must be at 300 pixels per inch for consistency and to reduce formatting errors or loss of quality
What can be done with pieces after the zine releases?
After a bit of time after the zine releases (will get more specific but depends on if we stick to schedule) feel free to re-release your piece onto your accounts! There will also be a collection for any writers to add to on AO3!
What type of art are you expecting? (drawings, drabbles, poetry, etc)
All art pieces will have a minimum requirement of full color with some shading and a basic background. Poetry would be classified as writing and is allowed!
I won’t be available for the entirety of the creation period, could I still participate?
As long as we have progress and you are on track to complete before the final deadline, then yes!
