Day 2-zine machine workshop

Today I’m looking at finishing my zine booklet and designing each page based on “The Lost Art of Letter Writing”. which is something I find sad that is a lost form or not used as much as a way of communicating with the introduction of technology and social media. I like writing letters and receiving letters through the post, something that u can keep and have forever in a memory box-something that is personal and meaningful.

This is what I have been working on today- once I am done I will be using the Riosgraph machine which is something I was introduced to by Fiona and tried yesterday to print my zine booklet. Using the colours red and black I’m really interested to see how this turns out.

I’m exploring the zine booklet through a mix of collage and drawing as well.

I am really enjoying this workshop and definitely will take it again in the future.

Zinemachine 5 is around the corner and now we know it's going to be from 11AM-6PM at the Durham Armory (all info from zinemachinefest dot com) so catch me and my fiancé @rehellinger reppin' twodeadqueers and selling zines (and if you're quick, even a short run of First Holy Cummunion and Other Obscene Sacraments...)

See us this Sunday at Zinemachine 5! We'll have GUILLOZINE, QUARANZINE, Dead Ends, Putrid Petites, a short print run of Obscene Sacraments, 11x17 art prints, and original art (and free stickers! And spooky bags!)

So many floppies of Cake and Blasphemy! You can get a copy of this floppy comic at Zinemachine this October 13th from 11 to 6 at the Durham Armory in Durham, NC! Two Dead Queers (@rehellinger and I) will be there!

I will be attending ZINEMACHINE 4 at the Durham Armory in Durham, NC on October 13, 2018 with my fiancé under our joint horror brand, Two Dead Queers!

We’ll have copies of our first issue in the Two Dead Queers Present horror zine series, Two Dead Queers Present: GUILLOZINE, and will be debuting our second issue if all goes well, along with some other festival exclusive goodies.

Of course our issues are and will continue to be freely available on our website though tips are appreciated and help us fund con and fest attendances!

I may also bring some of my solo projects, including works that previously were only available at NOCAZ  (again, if all goes well. Printers can smell fear, you know…)

You can see a list of upcoming conventions and fests either I, my fiancé (@sugarbitz), or both of us will be attending on our website (see post source) in the upper right corner.
