CLUB PENGUIN, a fanzine I created to detail my adventures in a Club Penguin remake. I might make a sequel to this! It is a four color print using blue, yellow, bright red, and HD black ink.

Speaking of Copy Scams... We still have some Copy Scams 10" records! It's s the best international zine themed band in the 90s pop punk genre! All our songs are about zines! The record comes with a digital download code, a zine of lyrics, lists of things we like and don't like, an explanation of this ridiculous project/joke taken too far. With my photocopier art and @stevelarder illustrations. Try before you buy? i got posted in the newspaper when i graduated!
RISO! a fun way to print is a zine I created in 2023 describing the riso process quite simply. I wanted something I could take with me to zinefests that was just enough informative. I think I might redo this zine to have a little bit more information and not centered around my university's riso as a subject now that I'm graduated.
STUDIO ART, a minizine printed in cornflower blue and fluorescent pink about the studio majors at my university! This was just a quick zine I made for free to give out at a studio tour and illustrated by hand before scanning it in. I think the texture on the pink layer is so fun (I used charcoal pencils).
Hey guys! Here's my fourth? Project on my portfolio!
My Personal Arabia is a zine series of interviews from family members and a friend of my cousin about Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The covers are risograph printed on brown cover paper with Metallic Gold ink, and the text is printed full color inkjet on Neenah Royal Sundance Birch. They are bound with golden thread and increases according to volume; one thread for book one, two threads for book two, and so on. This zine series has been viewed at several zine fests, so the first edition covers have worn away with time and touch.
Many of these photos were sourced from relatives and friends from Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Thank you to Fatima Alhamed, Mahros Alhatri, Reem Alhatri, and Ahmed Alhatri for providing photos for the publications.
You can see the rest of the project on zainabalhatri.com/mypersonalarabia/!
SKATER PUP, a full length, 30+ page comic all riso-printed and bound by me! It's printed in cornflower blue and black, and is halfletter size. This was a huge project I took upon myself to make during my graphic novels and zines class at Texas State University. There's only 23 or so copies printed right now until I figure out how to format this to be easier to print...
MY NAME IS زينب, a perzine about... well, my name! Risograph printed in teal and bright red. It was tough growing up in a small town, but now I make it a point to make people learn how to say my name before they try to nickname it.
