do you happen to know which facial expression is the “autizm” one from classic hd? i cannot stop thinking about this lately of all things they could have called it they went for “autizm”. thanks in advance! :)

Thanks for sending me on this quest! It's been a few years since the discovery of Autizm, and in this time the Pathologic community has developed advanced tools for its analysis. Namely, Gorkhon Script Editor allows the viewing of bytecode scripts, which are where LifeStudio:HEAD facial animations are controlled. With GSE, pathologicdialogue, and somevideoguy's string unpacker, I was at last able to find dialogue lines that, with 100% certainty, cause the Autizm facial expression for each character.

For Grace and Murky, Autizm is a pretty similar expression: they look directly forward. Grace stays still, while Murky raises and lowers her head slightly. However, Grace's Autizm is distinguished by being on a 15-second loop (Murky's and Peter's both last 10 seconds.)

On the other hand, Peter's Autizm expression has almost no eye contact - he looks away and up, occasionally glancing at the player.

There's more to discuss about the process of tracking these down... I'm tempted to do a quick video about it in the near future, schedule permitting. (Look under the cut for the example dialogue lines that you can find to see Autizm for yourself.) In conclusion,

Everything that I have ever called my purpose has been brought to life in this town. For now, I have no reason to leave it. I haven't finished my observations yet. 🖤: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think?

earlier i said block, and i think that's still true. however i think the saburovs also get a pass waaaaaaay too easily and too often in the fandom. it seems like some people get upset about them kicking clara out while others try to find ways to make excuses for them doing this (weird) but to me what makes them bastards is the fact that they knew grace was living on her own in the cemetery and the only time they give a shit is at the end of p2 when they decide to adopt her as a replacement goldfish for clara. supremely fucked up!

🧡: What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with?

idk if this qualifies as a theory, but whenever people play up how incompetent they think daniil is, it just comes across as anti-intellecutalism. "i wouldn't even trust him to do a flu shot" the guys down at walgreens can do a flu shot. but you wouldn't trust daniil to do this why, exactly?

💖: What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?

i disagree with the idea that pathologic is "difficult to recommend" because it is "not fun." it might not be what people think of when they think of video games, but visual novels and walking simulators already exist, so i think saying that it's uniquely impossible to recommend on the basis of jank or word count or whatever is just untrue. maybe you don't want more people getting into it because you don't want to see bad takes, but we're already seeing bad takes from people who have only interacted with the hbomb vid so i don't think discouraging people from giving it a try is going to prevent more bad takes from popping up.

💔: If you had to remove one major character from the series, who would you choose?

....hmm. the thing about pathologic is that the characters are so interconnected that choosing to get rid of one major character would make a whole lot of other stories just kind of unravel. i feel like there's no really good choice here in terms of major characters i'd do away with... though i think it could've been interesting if saburov died before the start of the game. this game is full of wifeless, motherless characters, i think it'd be interesting if the tables were turned a bit. katerina struggling to maintain control for both of them. in addition to all the other bullshit she's got going on... it would affect the story but i think it could be in a really interesting way!

Greece Left Snowbound as Storm Zinovia Heads Southeast

Several villages in central Greece were left without electricity on Monday as a result of heavy snowfall brought by the storm  “Zinovia” which had battered the country since the beginning of the weekend.

Public Power Corporation crews were busy trying to restore power to villages near Thiva. The municipal authorities there warned residents, and motorists in particular, to restrict their movements outdoors unless absolutely necessary, warning that roads were icy and conditions are expected to worsen over the course of the day.

According to the state-run Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the use of snow chains is necessary in several parts of the region of Viotia, and especially on roads the slopes of Mount Parnassus.

The island of Evia was also struggling with the heavy snowfall on Monday, with roads icing up not only between Halkida and Edipsos, but also in the region of Fokida, particularly to the west.

The Hellenic National Meteorological Service warned late on Sunday of a further worsening of weather conditions in Attica, Viotia, Fthiotida, Evia, Magnisia and the Sporades islands, where snowfall is expected even in areas located in relatively low altitudes.
