Highlight of the night: getting attacked and camped by two druids. Ask for help and have Phy drop in yelling "OOOOOOOGA BOOOGA!"
I said I was going to ramble today, so here's some ramblings. Starting with my troll girls as they are and always will be my babies.
I really really want to start Urukal's journals again. They were an absolute blast to write and a big help in developing her character. However, given that her last journal was stolen, she's going to want to take some precautions this time around. Thing is, I'm not sure what she would do differently. I could have her simply write it in Demonic, but that seems kind of silly. There are secret locations and spells she could put on it... hmm...
I should just go for it and figure it out as I go along.
I have an idea in my head for how/why Zinny went from druid to monk. Basically she got a vision of bears in the mist, something along those lines. She's still worshiping and following Nalorakk, but I think she was struggling with the other Loa.
Kirkal is pretty comfortable right now, hiding out in the Barrens sniping off Kor'kron. While some part of me would want to try and make her more social, another part of me likes her just the way she is. I haven't done much rp solo, but I do remember enjoying it.
Now Taiz actually has quite a few different things I haven't properly explored for her. She has visions of the Loa like Zinny, but she hides this fact. As much of a bragger as she is, the incident with the Kor'kron capturing her really shook her up. There was a gang of children she used to run with growing up who I haven't really defined.
Finally Xentkaz. Theenie and I have been talking about her, and I have some more ideas for her history. Along with this, I actually have a good story for what happened to the family. But the main thing I'm missing is a personality for her. I still don't quite know how to have her react to things.
THAT'S ALL I HAVE SO FAR FOR THEM. MORE CHARACTER RAMBLES COMING.
Story: A Gift From the Loa! (Part 1)
((Spazzy Zinny, GO! I was going to write this all as one big story, but I decided it would be best to break it up a bit.))
"We're almost to the city."
Zinzerkal could hardly believe what she was hearing. She trembled as she held her stone, the full implication of those words sinking in. A large smile cracked across her lips, and jumped into the air as she yelled, "WOO HOO! DEY GOT TAIZ BACK! DEY GOT HER BACK!!!"
The pink haired troll could no longer contain herself. She gave dashed out the door without saying goodbye, leaving a drunken and confused Alkkal in the inn. Ducking and darting between the elves in the street, she ran to Murder Row, where she knew Urukal was staying. Her mind raced with the possibilities of how to celebrate such a momentous occasion, each one more elaborate than the last. Since they joined the warband, the sisters had barely talked to each other. They should do something together, as a family!
Spotting the entrance to the second inn, Zinny darted in, nearly knocking a disgruntled elf couple out of the way. She'd have to apologize to them later, but her target was straight ahead! Urukal had three books spread out on a table, looking between the two with a concentrated expression. The druid beamed, rushing straight for the warlock. She opened her mouth to say something and-
"Whatever it is, no." Urukal shut her down without even glancing up from her books!
Zinny frowned, knowing the game was afoot. "But Urukkiiii!" she whined, knowing that the use of their father's pet name would earn her a glare from her older sister, "Didn't ya hear? Dey got Taiz back! We need ta celebrate!"
Urukal relaxed, giving a small smile as she says, "Yes, and I'm glad dat dey did. But I know what ya tinking, and I don't have time. I've got a very important assignment ta do for de Warband."
A good deflection! The warlock was a master of excuses, but the druid was not one to give up so easily. Zinzerkal decided to pull out the big guns, her lower lip quivering as she stared sadly at her sister, looking as pathetic as possible.
"But we never do anyting as a family, Urukki!" Zinny pouted, "And Taiz needs us! Dey said she was hurt badly, we need ta support her and cheer her up! Dis must be a gift from de loa, and we need ta cherish it! Come on, pleeaaaaaaase?"
Sighing in defeat, Urukal said, "All right, all right, ya win. Don't expect me ta do dat much. I'll help, but I've got a lot of work ta do, so it won't be much. And don't call me by dat name. I-"
"YAY!" Zinny cried out for joy, giving a sudden large hug to her older sister, "I promise I won't interrupt ya work, but dis is gonna be great! Just ya watch, I know exactly what ta do! I-" She gasped at her own thought, adding "I need ta find de othas! Do ya know where Kirkal be?"
Urukal enjoyed the hug, but scoffed at the mention of her twin. "Don't expect ta find her in de city. She probably be hangin out wit her animal friends somewhere in de forest. Good luck findin her."
"Hmmm..." Zinny wondered, letting go of Uru as she thought, "I'll find a way, don't ya worry! Afta all, who knows nature betta den a druid?" She gave a goofy grin, adding, "But tank ya. Tings were so dark for a while, and it be nice ta finally get a break."
"I know what ya mean," Urukal says, nodding, "Now, if ya gonna catch Kirkal, ya should probably start immediately. I will do as much research on dis ting for Heart Pierce so dat I'll be able ta help ya lata. All right?"
"Okay!" Zinny answered, bouncing happily, "I'll get on dat right away! Lata!"
And with that, the druid zoomed out the door, probably running over more elves, who grumbled about the uncivilized barbarians taking over their city. However, none of that mattered to her, for she had a plan, and nothing was going to stop her!
((That actually came out okay for 3AM writing. Keep an eye out for the next part!))
