But up in heaven, if you believe ZUMBI was pleased That I rolled up my sleeves And his energy was wit me So I had no choice My eyes gor REAL moist Playing all my favorite joints Just to hear his voice We a long way from Morehouse And that seemed like yesterday BUT, time flies, when you fly From the south to the bay And people die So you cry, once they pass away Yet life goes on For how long ? I can't say We all got a date Call it destiny or fate So we try to leave our mark Through Compassion or Art Community service or politics You just gotta pick For, if you don't Then time will lead you behind Real quick.... So I write this not as a dissertation Or a Eulogy, but a celebration Or maybe as a prayer Or an affirmation To acknowledge one of our ancestors Most powerful incarnations That Came to sprinkle Hip Hop With consciousness and light Everytime he hit the stage Or touched a mic Everytime he spoke to you With that sparkle in his eye Everytime he'd pass by And say "whaddup" or HI A true writer and a father We just can't deny Never intimidated, arrogant Nor shy Always on point, And just a really cool guy And that's why It's so hard to say goodbye To ZUMBI or ZION I... 😓😢😥😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 **MAY WE ALL ACKNOWLEGE EACH OTHERS GIFTS, TALENTS and EXISTENCE...
