joplittle pregnancy is staring me directly in the eye so i HAVE to ask for a snippet or more info about that one 👀
really thrilled to hear this because joplittle pregnancy as a concept possesses my life 24/7 and i'm not even kidding!!!
it's actually part of my "plunge into the deep again" series which is itself an omegaverse au and possibly the most self-indulgent thing i've written, created solely to see edward and thomas disgustingly domestic with each other (and also to pick apart some of their own family baggage, looking at you thomas "i am my mother's son" jopson)
here's a snippet from the latest chapter i've been working on!
Button by button, seam by seam. Clothing was so familiar to Thomas. It had been his family’s livelihood, once. He had sat by candlelight, helping his mother fix buttons to shirts, building callouses on his fingertips, small hands gone numb from the repetition. It should have been a job for his father in the shop, but drink made his hands clumsy, his temper dark. So mother and son sat together, far into the night, to hide his sins. As his nightshirt fell from his shoulders to pool on the ground, Thomas shivered from the memory. From the breath of a chill washing over him. His nakedness in front of Edward didn’t shame him, but the urge was there to cover himself, for heat, but also for the pale stretch marks creasing across his stomach. How his chest had lost its firm hold to instead sag under the new weight of milk coming in. A lack of trimness, of tone. A body that was neither womanly nor masculine enough. Shame over a body made strange to him.
