I am posting this for every girl suffering with Eczema because I think if I'd seen more girls posting about their eczema online i wouldn't have felt so isolated. I've had eczema for as long as i can remember mostly on my arms then it grow to the back of my knees but for the last few years my legs, hands and breasts have been the target. While i know there are bigger issues than this in life, this has at some point killed my self-confidence and has crippled me. I've found myself always hiding some parts of my body where I have the eczema marks, got ashamed of wearing anything short, vests etc anything that would reveal my eczema marks. I've came a long way and have taught my self that this isn't something i should have to hide and I taught myself to accept my flaws & love my skin as it is. I've taught myself that the way we shouldn't cover up and hide our strength marks, acne etc it's the way i shouldn't hide my marks. They're all normal and I've realized so many people are going through the same thing. Just because people don't post about it doesn't mean they don't exist. One day i will share my story about my journey to self-love and accepting my flaws. On Phumelela I called out my early collaborators and high school friends Camal and Seazy XXL alongside Jabulani Cindi to help create the uplifting song that is Phumelela.
Phumelela is an isiZulu word for succeed and on the song myself and the guys dive into the topic of success and what it means to each of us.
