#YEARRECAP to the day we all became family!! Bid Day began with us jamming out, celebrating the girls we were about to welcome into our sisterhood, and then jumping up and down with excitement outside on our front porch and lawn for them to run into open arms to their new home at ZTA. Our year together has ended sooner than we expected, yet these memories we shared will always be remembered. — The home that we shared meals next to one another during the rush between classes, the porch that was just getting warm enough to study with one another, the countless hugs we would give when we saw each other, the cuddled up on the couch memz in the informal room watching the Bachelor and movies will never be taken for granted. ❤️ Thank you Alpha Upsilon for this intentional group of women that will continue to be there for one another but just for now we will all be hanging through FaceTime calls. Yesterday we said goodbye to a beautiful person in a beautiful place. To say the least it was a hard day filled with all of the emotions one could fathom. I think the pastor said it best, “a deep, deep sadness”. But there was another emotion that seemed to ring through this tragic event, positivity. Once again, like every other time I came in contact with @sierracahoon I left feeling just a little better than I arrived. I saw 1st hand what true love, between husband and wife, families, friends, & even God (or as I call her Gia) can really do. How big of an impact it makes on a human on life. & even when my hands began to shake and my biggest fears lay in front of me through deep sadness I found so much joy in being surround by my sisters. Validation, safety, & belonging, something I have not felt in such a very long time and couldn’t have been happier to find it. Nothing replaces such a beautiful person but it amazes me that even in the darkest of times when she’s not here she leads by example and helps the people around her. Saying you’ll be missed would t do it as much justice as admiring I’ll see you again one day.
