casual and subtle royalty

i like to stand out, and i like to look like i’m the fucking king of everything, but i’m also... shy? i don’t wanna stand out TOO much, tho i do want to stand out. i wanna tread that fine line of “WHOA FUCK LOOK AT THAT PERSON” and “that person looks exactly as they should. hm.”

i don’t actually read a whole lot of poetry but (and this will shock 0% of anybody who knows me) i think mark z danielewski’s poetry is goddamn gorgeous
