Kacey was on another typical night of excess and binging to his heart’s content. Having accepted the company of one of his many drug connections at the pier, and finding his usual equilibrium of alcohol to cocaine terribly skewed. He enjoyed drink but preferred to cut it with the occasional line of angel dust to keep his wits about him.
Tonight he was well past the point of being able to reverse the slow and clunky effects the alcohol had on his thinking, so he tossed his concern to the dogs and decided to deal with the ramifications later. Reciprocating the toast, Kacey swallowed back the bitter shot of whatever it was that was placed in front of him, not even registering the alcoholic taste anymore.
Grinning and nodding at her question as he gestured to the bartender for another round of shots and one last glass of his favorite drink. Chuckling lightly as he turned back to the pale woman sitting beside him, “I’m never gonna turn down more. Been mithing one of my favorite connections lately, why did you up and leave me hangin?”
