Here a little AoKaga Drabble to celebrate the new year

I was bored and waiting to finally launch rockets into the new year, so I started writing this little thing to let time pass faster lolol.

(Haha I can say I wrote this from 2017 - 2018 because I'm an unfunny person)

And since it's after midnight now:

Another year ended and Kagami couldn't believe how fast it was over again.

He sat in his apartment alone, watching some TV and waited for the new year to finally begin.

His father wasn't able to come over so he spent yet another Christmas and now New Year by himself. The redhead's other friends where with their families and while he and Tatsuya planned to meet, a snowstorm came up in the northern part of Japan so the older was snowed in, in Akira.

The ace sighed, looking at his phone's watch.

'22:16.. Time's moving slow today.. I'm so bored', he thought as he leaned back against his couch and closed his eyes, as suddenly Kagami heard his bell ring.

"Mh?", the redhead stood up and walked over to the wooden door.

"Who's there- huh?", he asked with an overly calm voice before cutting himself off.

"Ao..mine? What the hell are you doing here?!", Kagami asked loudly, clearly confused at the other’s presence at his home.

"I got bored playing basketball alone, so I came over to get you to play against me", the bluenette said with his basketball under the arm and scratched his neck.

"What the- Don't you have a family to celebrate it with?!"

"So?", the bluenette rolled his eyes, "Are you coming now or not?", Aomine crooked his neck slightly and raised his eyebrow when he asked the slightly older.

Kagami glanced back at his living room, seeing only an empty plate with an opened basketball magazine and the TV playing some random new year show. He let his head hang and sighed.

"Fine. I don't have anything better to do anyway"

A fifteen minute walk later, they arrived at an empty court and Aomine threw the basketball over to Kagami.

"You can have the ball first. I'll snatch it away from

you soon enough anyway", the younger smirked and Kagami frowned.

"We'll see about that, idiot!", and they started to play.

Aomine got, as he predicted just a minute ago, the ball from Kagami as he blocked the shorter from dunking and immediately was over at the redhead's hoop, dunking it before Kagami could even cross half of the field.

"Told you", the bluenette grinned and threw it over at Kagami again.

"I'm gonna be so nice and give you another try. Good luck", Aomine teased and walked in front of Seirin's ace, positioning himself to stop the other's tries to score.

Kagami growled, saying "Beginners luck. I won't let you win this easily!"

And just before the Touou ace stole the ball from him again, Kagami passed him, getting his first score, smirking at the blue miracle and only got an amused grin back.

They played for more than an hour, jumping and blocking the other's shots and dunks.

No one really counted as they lost themselves deeper into their game.

Nothing, but steps, heaving breathing and the sounds of the metal net of the hoop swinging whenever the basketball fell through it.

Both of the aces laid on the ground, starring up at the dark sky, a distance clock tower was heard.

'23:45'

"Ha, damn. I can't remember the score..", Kagami said with a grin as he tried catching his breath.

"Then let's just say I won. I probably did anyway"

"Oi! Don't just.. claim it as your victory", the redhead gasped for air.

"Tch, you are already done? You gotta train on your stamina if you want to keep up with me", Aomine smirked turning around to the other, ignoring that he was panting, too.

"Shut up bastard"

The redhead heard in the distance rockets shoot into the sky.

"Fifteen minutes left and they already start shooting?", he asked and chuckled softly as he all of the sudden he felt warm lips against his own.

Kagami, after a second of pure confusion, pulled back and sat up, his face as red as his hair.

"W-what the hell Ahomine?!", he shouted, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

"What? Something against a little new year kiss?", Aomine teased and sat up as well, enjoying how the redhead reacted.

He really was cute.

"It's not even after midnight, idiot!", the older rambled and looked away, not wanting the other to look at his blushing face.

Aomine smiled, putting his hand on the shorter's cheek and made Kagami turn around to look him into the dark ocean blue eyes.

He leaned forward and just put his forehead against the redhead's one, closing his eyes and sighing.

"I love you, Bakagami", Aomine whispered in his deep voice, breathing against Kagami's lips.

"What- eh- I- Why me?"

The bluenette shrugged.

"I don't know. Because you're that what I've been searching for my whole life?", he rather asked than answered, but he didn't care, not as long as he could feel Kagami's skin on his own.

"And why.. now? ", Kagami asked, biting his lip, and Aomine shrugged again.

"New year, new start? I don't know"

"You're repeating yourself, Ahomine", the redhead closed his eyes then, too and started to lean back against Aomine as the clock started to sound through the night, along with the countless of colourful rockets.

"Happy new year", Kagami whispered and gave the bluenette a soft, yet long kiss.

"Happy new year", Aomine whispered back as they broke apart, only to find each other right after that again and again in this night, the following months and the following years.
