I think you'll like this blurb from an eventual chapter of CL @hantengudelulu
Nezuko’s attention was grabbed by a hand on her shoulder. Garnet eyes looked at the owner of the hand. It was Zohakuten once again. Nezuko thought he’d have left by now. She hadn’t expected that. She raised an eyebrow and remarked. “Oh? I thought that you’d be gone by now.”
Zohakuten looked to the side for a second. He then looked back at the teen. His expression was noticeably softer than it had been before. Nezuko has yet to see this exact expression from the demon of hate. Nezuko could see something in his hand. It looked like a… photo? Why does he have that. Zohakuten answered Nezuko’s question. “I would have been… But thinking about our discussion made me think of something…”
Zohakuten showed off the picture. He placed it in Nezuko’s hand. The teen drew it up to her face to see what was on the image.
One, who was clearly Zohakuten in his human form. He wore more of a casual yukata. It almost looked like a festival that he was at. He was being held in a bridal carry. There was the smallest, embarrassed smile on his face. It was honestly the happiest Nezuko had ever seen the demon. Then there was the other person.
The one holding up Zohakuten was a woman. She seemed to be about a whole foot over the man. Her eyes were bright, they shimmered in what light was visible. Her smile was infectious. There was a mole beside the left side of her lips. She looked so… alive… Wait a moment wasn’t this-
Zohakuten finished that thought. “This is me and Chou thirty years ago… I thought you would like to know what she looked like…”
Well… Nezuko was and wasn’t curious. She thought it interesting to know just how many more came before her. She wanted to know if the woman had been… as miserable as her… But it didn’t seem that Chou was in this. However, Nezuko knew she eventually escaped. So that told Nezuko that Chou had been pretending to love him. Nezuko didn’t fully know… She didn’t want to ask…
Zohakuten looked to the side. His voice was small. “I… I greatly miss her… Everyday… I just want to know why she decided to run away from me. I want to know what I did wrong. Things had been… good between us for a long time… But something changed and I don’t know what…”
Nezuko doubted that he didn’t know the reason. That would be so unlikely. He more than likely did something else that warranted the lashing out. It made sense but Nezuko didn’t feel safe with asking. Zohakuten was a friend but this was a sensitive issue clearly. Nezuko was silent as she thought about it all. She feared the day that this Chou person reincarnated. Her life will very rapidly become a living hell if Zohakuten finds her again…
Imagine this photo mentioned looking like this one but old timey and a smol Zoha ya know?
