My zombie idea for Saga of the dead by Evildog.
Rotten Idea
So here’s a stupid “I really should go to bed” thought.
Imagine if destroying the brain did nothing to a zombie except give it a caved in skull? Lopping the head off doesn’t stop it either.
In order to kill the zombie you actually have to destroy the entire spinal colom because if it’s intact it can send signals to the muscles to keep going. The virus or magic or what-the-hell-ever animates the corpse doesn’t reside in the grey matter but in the nerves/muscles themselves.
It would make them that much more dangerous, that much more difficult to get rid of, and slightly more interesting than the typical textbook that everyone uses.
Just a thought from an over-taxed mind. Feel free to ignore me here.
Those darn Zombies. - An AU idea
I really don't know where this idea came from, but I really like it. So I'm going to type it out for everyone. I don't know if it should be used as an original idea or for an AU fanfic idea. *Probably both*
Anyways. I was thinking about Zombies and all the movies, T.V shows and video games they're in. It got me thinking. It's always about Humans vs Zombies. Why not the supernatural vs Zombies?
Whether or not monsters, vampires, ect, think that they don't need humans around, they actually do. With the human numbers going down and the number of Zombies rising, food sources and their survival is quickly diminishing. So, in efforts to survive, they reveal themselves to the human survivors and form a sort of alliance. Of course it started out shakey. Those of the supernatural promised to fight for and protect them from the dead and of course to never lay a hand on them, unless given permission. In return, the humans must give those infected and anyone who died to them. So that those who eat humans have a food source. This wasn't too hard of a choice since those who died would rise up as a Zombie anyway. The man eaters were giving them an easy way to dispose of the dead bodies. To add to that, people had to donate blood for the blood drinkers.
As time passed by, the number of humans started to rise thanks to their new protectors, but the Zombie threat was still great. After a few generations, large fort like cities started to form. Great walls protected the humans and the supernatural inside. The relationship between humans and non humans became more lax. Everyone started to get use to it. Life was easier and survival was greater. Though, different groups started to form with different views. Rogue humans went out against the idea of needing the help of the supernatural and of course there were Rogue monsters who thought that they should just use the humans as live stock. This caused battles between human against human and monster against monster, ect.
In the more civilized communities, it isn't uncommon for a supernatural being to choose a human to live with. Especially Vampires. They pick a willing human who would allow them to feed off of them. In return they serve as their protector.
So, what do you think? An interesting idea? I wouldn't mind if I get some feed back. This is just something I think would be fun to create or even talk about.
