Headcannon list! (for entire horde)
Will be updated with each new headcannon
All zombies in the horde:
- When they eat the meat festers and rots in their stomach until it turns into bile, zombies like Boomers and Spitters actually store this bile, but other zombies can not or else it eats away at them from the inside. So at first signs of bile in their stomach they throw it all up. This is how they eat.
Hunter:
- This Hunter is 5 foot 2 inches at full height.
-Hunter is 5 years old(dead for 5 years)
- Most of Hunter's major Head and torso scarring is actually from a lightening strike
- He is in fact missing a chunk of flesh from his side from a nasty run in with a dog(had rabies)
- He likes his scars from the lightening strike on his back and chest, but hates his face and scalp
- Hunter will do all he can to hide his face. Taking his hood off before he's on a level of trust where he will allow it WILL have a violent response.
-This Hunter has a phobia of being restrained.(see his death story in his bio under The Horde Tab) Even a Hula Hoop around his neck can set this off and he will go berserk to try and get it off.
-He does have bullet and cut scars from tussles with survivors
- Most of the infected puss filled boils on his body have popped by now, but more are very slowly growing to take their place
- Hunter can wiggle his ears
- He CAN use echolocation(since he's blind) but tends to use it when only hunting, since it involves a lot of screaming and noise making.
- Hunter LOVE jelly beans! The pear flavor is his favorite
-Hunter's real name is Matthew, but he has no recollection of this name. He'll sometimes answer to it though.
Smoker:
-Smoker has been dead for 6 years
- He is papa bear in the horde. You don't hurt his little horde. He will choke you and hang you up like a pinata for Hunter.
- Biting off his tongue actually doesn't hurt, his mind just makes him think it does
- can control all the tentacles, even the ones growing out the back of his head. They can be used like extra limbs! though are much weaker then his arms and "tongue"
- He constantly smokes cigarettes, cigars when he can find them. He has a horde of the things in the hide out he and all the horde stay in.
- Smoker will tell you his real name as he remembers it, it's Richard
Screamer:
-Screamer is the oldest at 7 years dead
- Screamer is clinically insane(even when alive)
- He was married while alive, both were infected and sent to the hospital together, his wife died thankfully very quickly and painlessly When they realized there was no cure.
- Screamer desperately misses his wife even as a zombie
- His real name is Max, but he will never tell anyone his name.
-Screamer has a still-living daughter! Her name is Samantha.
-If screamer calls you Anna, consider it a compliment, you have something positive about you that makes him think about his wife.
-How does Sammy live in a city of zombies? All the food would be spoiled by now right? Well, Samantha lives in the southern city. The northern city has yet to actually be hit by the infection (amazing and large actions were taken to keep it out). A large wall/barrier around the northern city keeps everyone inside safe, and the infected out…Including Samantha. Samantha gets supplies from the northern city. They have a room made in the wall she can go into for supplies once a week, and a desk with computer, so she can attend online classes and calls with professors.
-Samantha is currently working towards a PHD in Taphonomy (The study of decay, mummification, and fossilization) with a minor in molds, mildew, and fungi.
-In exchange for the supplies and classes, Samantha researches, watches, and documents the status of all the zombies she can keep tabs of. Most with clothing tags, or the way they act.
-She hears voices in her head, and sees hallucinations constantly. It used to be controlled with medication but with no more meds, so goes the control.
-When she snaps like her father, she laughs, and breaks down. She'll eventually curl up in a ball and cry for hours.
-She has a plush dolly she talks to a lot, she calls it Mother.
-All the above she manages to keep in check most the time, but she can very easily snap so be careful >3>
-Samantha’s father is actually Screamer. She’s the only one that knows his real name besides him, and she tends to go looking for him, to make sure he’s alright still. (immunity does not HAVE to be passed down via parents, it can just happen, like any other immunties, or human qualities in genetics)
-Samantha gets along with and tends to hang around the zombies from this blog. Other zombies are much harder as they don’t have the same level of sentience, but she will still treat them all the same with an air of caution, knowing they are zombies and anything can set them off
