HEY FELLAS

so uhm I've been working on my own original story, Zone 12, for the past like.... forever, and I've been putting up it's chapters on Quotev and yknow if any of you would be interested in reading it, I'm just gonna put it here

Zone 12 | Quotev

basically its set in the year 2033 where a place at the bottom of the ocean has recently been discovered, dubbed Zone 12. At a certain point deep enough in the ocean, the water literally just cuts off and is suspended above the empty land below like the sky, only whenever you look up you're seeing the ocean instead of the sun, if that makes any sense at all. Prestigious scientific foundation Blackwood Sciences has made it their personal mission to research and effectively colonise the newly discovered Zone 12 but before that they need to know as much about the place as possible and if humans can even survive down there, so they strike a deal with the prison system: Blackwood takes death row convicts, throws them in a metal suit(named Dante by it's... passionate, creator) designed to kill them within 18 hours, and drops them into Zone 12 to explore.

Traffic in the crossing between Zone 4 and Zone 12 today, as an accident earlier this morning caused an extra hold up for the rush hour, and the area is still being cleared. The ETCs (Electronic Toll Collection gates) are functioning normally, but the checkpoints for those on foot are manned by our agents for manual passing for the time being.

When I’m rich,

I’m not gonna move in a white neighborhood in the suburbs. I’m gon move in a house near my hood and invest my money to rebuilding my old hood (I’ll eventually move back, but niggas be jealous. They gonna kill me before I even get a chance to help them)

Imma invest in Black owned stores on York Road and Alameda Shopping Center–Preferably, the owners will be from the neighborhood to create a cycle of money flowing within the community. I’ll renovate Shop, Stop & Save, buy off and renovate all the residential properties, make their rent based on their tax income, and allow my tenants to rent to own. Eventually our tax bracket will increase which will result in better funding for our local schools. (Probably just contradicted myself)

I gotta keep Stokos and Murrys though; that’s in our culture. Renovate and expand the Pal Center and increase their salaries because they help raise the children who have parents get home from work at 10pm-11pm. Preferably, the employees will be the parents. Basically, they will get paid to help raise their children and other children in the community.

Church is important, but replace a few of the churches with stores to expand our resources. It’s deadass four to five churches on York Road alone. I always hated that shit; it’s so excessive.

I know niggas still going to be on the block. I just wanna give them that option. I know they all aren’t bad because drug dealers and gang members actually steered me away from that life. They just trynna get that bread; I get that. (Still working on a solution.)

I’ll eventually branch out to other places in Baltimore, but I gotta take care of the village that raised me.

If y'all see any flaws or ways to execute this, please educate me. I want to make my community better.

Baltimore or not, please take my idea. I can’t put a copyright on the progression of my people. I can work on my neighborhood while you work on yours. It’s like a puzzle; As long as everyone places their piece properly, we can collectively create our own image.

Don’t make living in the hood a bad thing.
