Zine Specifics
After going through the interest check, we have a more set theme for the zine. This is prone to change as more responses come in, but we have a pretty good idea of what the community would like to see.
The zine takes place in a universe where Zarkon and Honerva are never corrupted by quintessence. The zine will focus on one storyline, the blooming romance of Zonerva and them raising Lotor, but also feature short stories of AUs and character examinations in the canon universe.
The zine will be available as a PDF and physical zine, with digital merch.
All proceeds will be sent to a charity decided on by the mods. (To keep you all in the loop, we’re thinking rehabilitation centers for drug use.)
The zine will include:
Stories following Zonerva courting, getting married, raising Lotor, Lotor’s interests and exploits having been raised in a stable home, and more.
Full-page art to go with these stories.
Character analysis/essays based in the canon universe in-between the main stories.
Zonerva and Lotor centric mini-stories based in alternate universes in-between the main stories. (Reversed fates, human au, merfolk au, etc.)
Exploring relationships with the original paladins and the royal family of Altea.
Digital merch such as phone and desktop wallpapers, icons, and discord emojis.
Contributors we’ll need:
Merch Artists, to create the wallpapers, icons, and discord emojis.
Artists, to draw a full-page piece based on the story of the writer they are paired with.
Writers, to write a one-shot for the zine, based on the storyline.
Drabble Writers, to write au-drabbles for in-between the main plot.
Graphic design, formatting, shipping, beta, and formatting mods to help run the zine.
MODS WILL ALSO BE ALLOWED TO APPLY FOR WRITER AND ARTIST POSITIONS.
