are there any films or media you get style inspiration from?

yes!!! of course. a lot of illustrated art I get style inspo from... probably more than i should. a lot of my favorite artists also influence my style like...if i like a painting i wanna BE that painting u feel

for film stuff... i get style inspo from everywhere in movies (like even.. wallpaper patterns..) but HM my biggest style inspo film stuff:

Classic Films (1930s-1950s): I watched a lot of these growing up and still hunger for that perfect vintage look

Akira & Blade Runner: noir sci-fi is the ultimate Look tbh (i have two jackets that i got because of their resemblance to stuff in these movies)

Beginners: i dont like any of the outfits rly but i want to look like this movie’s vibe

Tron (new one): gotta love clean lines

Countless teen movies with too much layering going on: ghostworld, wetlands, heathers, dope, the list goes on & on

Malcolm’s glare says ‘shut up’ with five different expletives and the kind of violent imagery that couldn’t even be well after the watershed on the BBC, and nobody but Jamie would dare ignore such an unsubtle hint.

‘You don’t know what I was gonna say,’ but Jamie has one eyebrow raised.

Malcolm’s office is empty, but he still looks around for spies. He isn’t getting into any House of Cards blackmail shit. No Urquhart on the roof of the Commons for him. Not even after all the bullshit with Tom, which is why Jamie is in there in the first place. A not so sound bollocking.

‘Election night, 1997. On top of the fuckin’ world. First time we had, properly had, any fucking power.’

‘Not the first time we-’

‘Let’s not turn into soppy cunts, now. Weren’t you leaving?’

‘Don’t want you to think you’ve won.’

‘Big fucking winner, are you? Bringing up ancient history? Or were you screwing a Roman soldier back in the day too?’

‘You make no fucking sense, Malc. We ain’t won. We’re the fucking losers. Those cunts are gonna win. All the cunts.’

Malcolm doesn’t argue with that. He lets Jamie walk out of the door, slamming it as hard as anyone would expect should they see Jamie leaving the room, but not as hard as Malcolm knows he can, when he’s really, viciously angry, and not half-resigned that even Malcolm isn’t fighting the fight any more.
