Inkmare day but it's on march 26th to commemorate underverse 0.3 part 1 because that's when Nightmare calls Ink Little Brush and I still think that was very gay

I like to think Nightmare yapped to Ccino about the Ink crush situation™. Was super dramatic about it. Ccino. Patted his shoulder and went. Well. Um. Meow. Get him tiger. And Nightmare just looked at him like he just saw someone get shot

Okay; this is a thing I've wanted to write about for some time! It's a concept I came up with. At some point.

Magic mixture...!!!

The main idea of it it's that it's a phenomenon in-verse where, if two or more monsters spend enough time together, their magic eventually mix, so both their color palettes get altered. Temporally! But altered.

It usually looks kind of subtle?? For skeletons, I imagine the main difference is the color of blush, eyelights and tongue, which are the most visible. The color palette change usually fades in some hours, if both monsters stop interacting and/or staying close to each other.

I imagine the magic mix as a whole is. Very common. Friend groups usually end up somewhat rainbowy if they're very close, those who magic-fight for fun are usually very color-palette altered anddd. Healing magic usually leads to unilateral color mixing, where one of the monsters is the only one whose palette is affected.

I imagine it. Also gets affected by Magic Power?? Its harder to "tint" a boss monster as a normal monster, while a boss monster has less difficulties making their color mixing visible in friends. And stuff

There are moments where it's Not as subtle™, which is when the monster in particular uses. Active Magic to cover themselves, like moldsmalls or fire monsters.
