2023 Wrapped but it's art I made during the year.
I spent most of the time I dedicated to drawing to trying colour matching my markers & pencils as close as possible to the palette I use for Luh'el and tbh at this point I still have not found a match for the coral red I use for his skintone and my eyes burn ahfjfjdk
As promised in my previous post, here the photo I took of this sketch before going back to struggle to continue it!
I wanted to draw a nice spread on my new sketchbook and I thought about drawing one of the many forms that Luh'el can take. You already know him- them. They're (or he's, whatever floats your goats) an old OC of mine that after ages landed into an (unfinished) DnD setting of my creation. As I might have said in the past, he's a Fire elemental (or genasi if we want to use DnD terminology) who thembossed too hard and became a Deity. Loves to roam around the mortal plane and usually takes his old appearances, but he can take whatever form they want.
Sharing this wip video also on here! I'll post a photo of this asap, before returning to fight my inability to draw his face on paper ahdjdjdksk
After the practice rounds I moved onto the piece I was going to make, just a vent art page to slap on my sketchbook... but then I liked it so much that I scanned it in high resolution, refined it and then printed it for myself.
I need to figure out better which size of paper I should use to not have part of the artwork cut out but still, it's a better result than I imagined.
Have the (not)cool reveal video I made for this
Found a big ol' sketchbook almost empty and I'm doing some practice with coloured pencils and watercolour pencils bc of a page I want to make on my new fancy sketchbook and-
I noticed I have a problem™️ as I can't sharpen my pencils unless I'm practically drawing with the wooden body, so I'm kinda stuck coloring like this.
Luckily, it's just practice stuff, and I do not need to be precise but... dang.
First OC Drawing VS Latest OC Drawing
I wanted to make a comparison post since I posted the art of Kylech I made for OC-tober... so here it is!
Personally, I think this was quite a glow up! And my sweet boy Kylech really deserved some new art!
I forgot to post it when I uploaded it on the clock app, but here's my half-assed attempt at Day 10 of the OC-tober.
Sadly, having to rush a drawing just after (or before) going to work is way more draining than I first thought... so I decided to take a break for a couple of days and catch up when I have the day off.
