This grilled octopus with sobrassada sausage, yellow tomato ketchup, pil pil and piquillo was expertly paired with a fruity Rodenbach red ale aged on oak for 2 years at the recently opened Bar Alt. It was part of an impressive line-up and all I can say is GO! At newly opened beer-themed casual fine dining restaurant, Bar Alt, the citrus tones of Partizan's Lemon & Thyme Saison cleverly complement corvina ceviche with yoghurt, Madame Jeanette chilli, cucumber tigre di leche and a red onion crisp. A witty twist on the Peruvian classic, with a sting in its tail, and just one of 7 (!) delightful courses we tasted last night. My advice? Get there fast, before the buzz gets going.
