for all your zuko writing needs: theoretically, he’d most realize that hes into dudes when hes living in ba sing se. even though the earth kingdom is a homophobic society in the upper rings, i doubt anyone cares in the lower ring (think 2010s america with celebritys vs regular people). furthermore, its the only time we see him be able to be himself (ironic as it is) since the only one who knows hes prince zuko of the fire nation is iroh and we all know iroh wouldnt care.

AU where someone seeks out where Dream his hiding and becomes friends with him, like legit friends. Even after all the things he’s done.

similarities between zuko and catras arc, the list:

-both raised by abusive parental figures

-in a red themed dictatorship that thrives on censorship

-they lose there high standings and both in a way get cast out

-only to come back with higher power then ever

-"I thought winning would be different"

-both change there hair

-join a group that mocks them for being edgy

-realize what real love looks like from that group

-Iroh and scoripa both help with self discovery

-(both 'bad guys' but not really) (with hearts of gold and a red themed wardrobe and white hair)

-(ha! They both even give Catra and Zuko tea)

-que badass flashback episode

-conects some with friends of main character (glimmer and Katara) before betrayal but then rebuild of trust by way of a good deed

-the about 5 episodes away from the end a full redemption arc

-saves the world with love and the power for friendship and beats there abuser once and for all, but not by themselves.

-both fall in love and live happily ever after
