Something happy? There aren’t a lot of moments that came to mind in his life. Sure, adolescence wasn’t terrible at first when his mothers remained in the picture... but even then, there were pressures surrounding his status. The royal family had a reputation to uphold and fear ran rampant.
It takes a moment for him to genuinely think of something that is happy. He leans back against the blanket, staring up at the deep blue sky. “ When uncle and I were... refugees in Ba Sing Se, there was a moment where I truly believed this was it... That I could live here for the rest of my life. This weight lifted and I started learning more about tea from him. I think he was really happy how much time i was spending with him...
