Some crappy animation I started a while ago that I abandoned and then forgot about until just now and decided to post even though I am 110% dissatisfied with it, lol (like seriously. For one thing, I absolutely despise Carock’s D8 face).

Yes, I made Norasharks Norašxarhakans look like the KKK on purpose, lol.

This is a very simple, early concept of their appearance and I haven’t worked much on them since, lol.

One thing I’ve established about Norašxarhakans outside of their raison d’être is that they tend to wear a lot of white even when they’re out of their robes.

As a result, Carock and other incarnates of Veriza are or quickly become quite hyper-vigilant whenever they’re around anyone wearing a lot of white.

I started writing a post about native Doldarans’ eating habits yesterday and holy crap man do I still have a lot to write lol

And it was slow to start to begin with because there were a lot of things I hadn’t thought about much until I started writing the post.

Like, how they season their food: they have to use juices and teas instead of directly using fruit, vegetables, and herbs.

Or why they can eat fungi but not fruit and veggies… Which I still ain’t sure about because I still haven’t found any gaddang decent info on fungivorous digestive systems. >:(

And while checking if carnivores can digest honey, I found out that many of them (primarily obligatory carnivores) can't taste sweetness. I’m currently deciding whether or not Doldarans will also be unable to detect sweetness— I have had them overall prefer the juices of sour fruits over purely sweet ones so far… I’m rather torn between the two, honestly— I might compromise and only diminish their taste for sugar— but I don’t know. *shrugs*

But yeah, I started the post thinking it’d totally be a quick and simple post but NOPE, lol, it wasn’t.

With all that said, Carock eating that rice in the flashback in chapter two of TCT was in fact an act of desperation. They pretty much were starving him, after all.

Like, he theoretically could have eaten that rotten meat and not have gotten sick thanks to his digestive system but it smelled so strongly that he probably would have thrown up the moment it came near his lips, especially since he was still completely unaccustomed to it, so… Yeah. :/

The last couple times I’ve drawn Zuna!Carock with his mouth open, I’ve neglected to draw his elongated fang.

I need to cut that out.

I sometimes toy with the idea that Carock and other Zunas can’t move their jaws from side to side and that Karstzunas are the only ones with teeth meant for chewing any kind of non-meat food (specifically, mushrooms and other fungi)...

But then I’m like, “Hmm, nah.”
