not sure of how much of actual shinto lore i’ll incorporate into izanami but i think the concept of her ex-husband she’s been angry at for millions of years showing back up in her life as the magical servant of a sixteen year old is hilarious
didn’t lena regret that 5th (?) grade event where she ruined that girl’s reputation/life, or was the regret not canon? also, 5th grade is years before being a teenager, so lena could’ve been somewhat mean when she was very young and then she could’ve become more shy when she became a pre-teen/teen
No regret expressed as far as I'm aware. By the time Lena meets Andrea, it's possible she's already fallen into a depression since we STILL don't know when or how Lionel dies.Or she could have been taken down a peg or two by Veronica Sinclair.Or, if Lena's timeline is similar to Kara's, by that point Lex would already have had run ins with Superma-- oh wait. That's another retcon isn't it. A retcon of a retcon. My brain is so tired y'all.
Anyway my point is, yes there's lots of reasons Lena might have changed, but there was some confusion as to how the meangirl fanon idea started, so I just shared when I started entertaining the idea.
Lena broke Andrea's heart. She hadn’t mean to, but it happened. Lena was skipping grades and was going to graduate early. Colleges were extending the red carpet to her. Andrea wanted Lena to go with her on a gap year, just the two of them across Europe. To hell with the responsibilities, Lena. But, Lena is a Luthor. She is responsible. She needs to please her family. The rejection still hurts Andrea, even if now it’s more like a bitter “what if” than an evil ex
Honestly I figured it would have been a simple matter of Lena operating under the assumption that things were casual between them, a matter of proximity and convenience, while Andrea was head over heels gone for Lena.
And that Lena had no idea, even after they part ways, so when Andrea’s anger and resentment is revealed, Lena is genuinely taken aback.

After the death of Tubbs’s baby Angelo, what if Tubbs would volunteer as at hospitals as a baby cuddler? That entails holding and cuddling babies whose mothers were addicts and just being there for them. And knowing Tubbs, she falls in love with each and every one of them.
And yes- this is a real thing X
Its almost canon with Tubbs working with disadvantaged youth in New York City.
Headcanon: If they ever have a baby in the distant future, Gladstone would stay home to take care of the hatchling while Linda works long hours to support them.
