Day 8 - Across Slovakia
Time to leave Bratislava and head east!
The train ride is strange, in many parts it goes very, very slow, than it accelerates for like 5 minutes than slows down again? I suppose it has something to do with the tracks or the line, but it's still very frustrating. Also I think there's what looks like a small middle school class going on a field trip D:
The train goes mostly through fields very similar to the area around my home town, but towards the end it steers into the hills and the landscape gets more interesting.
I change trains in Zvolen, and I have a couple of hours to spend there, though the train station where I change is a little out of town so I mostly have time for a quick walk around the center and back.
It's a nice small city, and I'm happy I got a chance to see something other than the capital and the second largest city in the country (that's Kosice, the one I'm headed to). (Which is pronounced kosheetzeh btw, and not kozeecheh like I was saying XD) (on the 8th day of travel my brain is finally ready to process different ways of reading graphemes in different languages XD).
The route from Zvolen to Kosice is incredibly beautiful. Of course the fact that is a glorious sunny and windy day, with whipped cream clouds over the orizon, helps quite a bit :D
We have to change from the train to a bus for the last stop. The other people seemed to have known but it doesn't say anything on my ticket? Maybe there was an announcement in slovak that I didn't understand.
Kosice is bigger than I anticipated, but at a first glance looks very lovely. I can't wait to explore the old town tomorrow!
(As usual, if any of you reading has any suggestions for things to do or see, in Kosice or in the immediate surroundings, please let me know!)

I miss you <3
My hometown is a very boring city. There isn't a lot of industry - there are a lot of trees. It's not like Beijing where the sky is always dark. In my city the sky is blue and the sun shines. Liu Wen
