sojin has been quite the hard worker these days—especially with the amount of request she does all by herself, after all—powerplant is a one-woman shop, at the moment. she handles everything—from arrangements, to taking care of the nursery, to stocking up on the other goods. yet the moment she comes home, it doesn’t actually stops from that. she’s left cleaning the house whenever her lover is gone and once she does come home, their only conversation is how their day went and it ends once sojin falls asleep—she always does first. all the diligence and effort had taken a toll on sojin’s health—yet, she doesn’t seem to notice. she believed that as long as she ate well and was happy, nothing was to happen. it was a stupid belief but she was able to live twenty-nine years of her life relying on it. little that she knew, it was slowly pushing back to her old self—her weak self. you see, as early as she can remember, she was already as frail as she was now, perhaps even more.
it grows evident that one night she returned from powerplant. she was too tired to eat or even talk that she headed straight to their bedroom to fall asleep. the first few hours were fine but suddenly, she could feel a different kind of weight on her chest. it tightened and she found herself almost unable to breathe. her eyes shot open—awake and feeling rather suffocated. heavy breaths slipping past her lips as she starts to panic, her eyes in tears while her hands try to feel up the night stand in hopes of finding her inhaler, although she keeps knocking things off of it instead.
