“A-ah- Yes, right away your Grace-”

Byakuya’s job description could be very concisely described as “walking on eggshells”. Not that he had any other choice when working in direct servitude of the kingdom’s execution-happy heir apparent. When he had first been pulled from his small border village to work within the castle he had no idea what to expect, but the lingering whispers about what happened to his predecessor- and his predecessor, and his predecessor- had made it rather clear that it was best to keep his head down and his employer very happy.

Which- from his understanding of at least half a year of survival- involved being smart when it comes to giving your master what he wanted, and playing dumb when it came to everything else. That meant hiding he could read, acting oblivious to the rather blatant disaster that was to fall upon the kingdom in the decades to come... and presenting the prince with at least three choices of beverage when he requests a drink.

The idea that the prince particularly favored him had not yet crossed Byakuya’s mind, some parts of his obliviousness being a bit more genuine than others.

“Would you prefer ice water,a chilled wine from the cellar? Perhaps some tea on the warmer side of things?”

Hajime’s hands tightened on the folder that had been given to him. He honestly didn’t think he was fit for the job of questioning Naegi, but Chisa had insisted and shoved the file into his hands and sent him along his way. Shouldn’t interrogation be like, the 6th division's job? His mouth went dry, he his hand was shaking as it opened the door to reveal the mastermind of the tragedy sitting in it. This boy, this was the boy who had used Hajime’s brother....it was because of this boy that Izuru was a wanted million class criminal and might die at the hands of the Future Foundation one day. He walked in and took a seat, he opened up the file. “...I’m Hajime Hinata, i’ll be questioning you today.”

The SCREAMS, the BLOOD, the RIOTS... The D E S P A I R. Two toned eyes scanned the fire BLAZING city, she’s never seen the color orange, red or yellow... Not until now. The experiment sat at the edge of the roof, the smell of BLOOD && SMOKE filled her nose, she’s NEVER experienced anything like this before... She was almost glad that she was seeing all this, but... All the PAIN she was witnessing... It was almost like the pain she went through... It made her SHIVER... She was so confused on how to feel about everything.

She heard footsteps behind her, which made her head perked up a bit. Glancing behind her slightly, Ah... It was him. The one who FREED her from that... Cage. She was so GRATEFUL that he did that... For someone who was only 98% human, he set her free from her prison.
