Okay, but imagine being a gladiator like Rotta, maybe you guys have fought each other on multiple occasions, but you’re both fan favorites, so you haven’t died yet.
Maybe your contract runs out the same time as Rotta’s, so in reality you two were meant to fight to the death, but Din gets thrown into the mix.
You two have gone from enemies, to rivals, to friends to almost lovers, there’s a chance you guys never really put a name to it, maybe you even wanted to wait till you two were free to be together.
So obviously you run after Rotta and try to flee with him, you’re able to shoot at the mando chasing you guys as Rotta drives, but you two still get caught.
Din says something about you not being part of the job, but Rotta won’t go without you, and it’s really just easier to let you come along. You're even a big help when it comes to catching Coin.
I like to think Din never thinks much about romance, especially between others, so he doesn’t really clock what’s going on between the Zygerrian and the Hutt.
Zeb notices, might even ask about it in passing. He's not judging or anything, but it’s not every day you see a Hutt and anybody being together willingly.
You, who’s been busy checking Rotta over for injuries just glare at Zeb, but Rotta’s a good guy, so he explains the whole weird relationship you guys have had for years.
Imagine you go with Rotta, and like in the movie he gets caught by the twins. You end up escaping into the jungle outside their base. They send droids after you, but really, why would you ever be overpowered by droids.
You had assumed you had to do it all alone, until Grogu and the Anzellans show up. What can you do but follow, luckily the pipes are big enough for you to fit through, even if it’s a mess.
When you somehow discover the state they’re keeping Rotta in, you almost charge in like a wild animal, but it’s Grogu that stops you. The kid can’t really speak, but you get a feeling he’s telling you not yet.
You end up with Grogu, taking care of his parental figure. It's strange to take care of someone that isn’t yourself, or Rotta, but even with Rotta it wasn’t as close to death as the mando.
When Din wakes up you want to go get Rotta immediately, as well as being extremely murderous about his aunt and uncle.
It's again Grogu that gets you to calm down, if only a little, enough for you guys to come up with the idea of a plan.
Things go like in the movie after that, you help Grogu free Rotta, who’s so happy to see you he could kiss you. Theres not really time for that though, so instead you fight the twins together.
You want to stay and watch them die, but Rotta, knowing your nature, picks you up and gets outta there with the rest of the group, just before it’s blown up by the resistance.
At this point you’re so done with everything that you just turn and kiss him. It's a bit of a mess just based on size alone, but you guys make it work. Grogu, being a kid, makes some cute grossed out noises.
The people from the resistance won’t judge, but they also don’t really get it. But hey, the galaxy is a big place, so what if two beings from two known slaver cultures decide to join the resistance, and are dating.
Zeb ends up being a great friend, the guy joking about how ‘felines like us gotta stick together’ even though you guys aren’t really felines like that.
Rotta may be a little jealous, but you make sure to show your mate how wrong he is to think insecurely about himself.
How do you guys make it work? Well, use your imagination for that one. You make it work though.
