He almost couldn’t believe it when the message was delivered.  Almost.  How could Tyria’s most un-killable man be … well…  killed?  And it certainly must have been that, since the stubborn oaf would refuse to die any other way.  And he hadn’t been there to do it himself, let alone witness his very untimely demise?  The consort scoffed, folding his arms across his chest and leaned back in his chair.  He could feel his face crease into a frown an his vision grow fuzzy.  It would certainly explain why that insufferable hound hadn’t come by recently, even when the mesmer called for him - and he always came when called.He tightened his fist around the crumpled missive he refused to let go of.  He should have felt glad.  He wanted to feel content.  The baron was dead.  The baron was dead and that meant one less murderous asshole that wanted him dead in his life.  He should have felt glad…  And yet…“How dare he…” He muttered, his voice sounding strange in his ears and thick in his throat.  He wondered, who could have taken his wolf away from him.  He wondered what they were like.  If they were proud of their accomplishment, or if they had treated him with the same indifference as anyone would have cutting a rabid animal down.  He wondered if there had been fear in their eyes.  If it was reflected in Ymyll’s, or if he felt surprise or… anything at all really when he realized he had lost.  Had it even occurred to the lord, so confident in his ability and skill, and so consumed by blood thirst, that defeat was even possibility?

“Ho-…”  He started, but the words cut short dying in his throat.  

He stood slowly and calmly, walking to the armory, grabbing a sword.  How dare this person, who ever they were, think they had to take the right to take what didn’t belong to them?  How dare they steal from him? 

That feral beast should have died whenever, and however he wanted.  Him.  No one else had that right.  Not even Ymyll.And if the spell caster couldn’t have the guardian’s life, then he supposed, the hero who killed him would have to do.
