Overview ZZZ Faction:
Faction Name: Empty Sky Pavilion
Affiliation: Independent | Loose Mercenary Collective Base of Operations: An abandoned high-rise on the edge of New Eridu. The top floors were cleaned out, reinforced, and turned into a calm, practical base. No signs, no formal front. Just a quiet place above the noise.
The Empty Sky Pavilion operated like a sect but didn’t act like one. There were no mantras, no rigid codes. What mattered was simple: handle your jobs, don’t slack off, and don’t make a mess for others to clean up. The Pavilion didn’t chase reputation, but its members earned it anyway - through calm, efficient action and a clear refusal to overcomplicate things.
They weren’t heroes. They weren’t villains. They were just the ones you called when you wanted something done right.
Philosophy and Approach
Lax Structure: There were no forced rituals, uniforms, or loyalty oaths. Everyone did their part and got space in return.
Do Your Job: The only expectation was contribution. If you pulled your weight, no one cared how you dressed or trained.
Clean Work: Sloppy violence and collateral damage were frowned upon. Precision mattered.
Instinct Over Planning: Members leaned into reaction and habit. Plans existed, but they weren’t sacred.
Quiet Profit: Money mattered. Not greed; just stability. You got paid, you kept moving, and you left the drama behind.
Core Mission Types
Hollow Containment: Clearing nests or eliminating threats without dragging attention.
Relic and Resource Runs: In and out. No loud entries. No long speeches.
Escort and Guard Jobs: Keep things secure and move them from point A to B without issues.
Training and Development: Sparring, Void conditioning, and personal growth were up to each member, but help was always available if asked.
Key Members
Avalyn (Sect Leader)
Role: Coordinator / Strategist
Specialty: Kept things moving, organized contracts, and handled outside contacts. She wasn’t loud, but she was efficient. People listened when she spoke, and nothing got past her twice.
Verda (First Disciple)
Role: Combat Enforcer
Specialty: Trained directly under Ruby and became the clearest example of Pavilion-style fighting - reflex over thought, intent over noise. She didn’t talk unless necessary and didn’t waste movement.
Ruby (Heavenly Demon)
Role: Symbol / Founder
Specialty: She didn’t lead and never tried to. Her presence shaped the group, but she left the structure to others. People still called her the Pavilion’s blade, never the voice.
Seele
Role: Support Specialist
Specialty: Focused on keeping others stable during missions - whether by healing, disruption, or positioning. She played her role quietly and with full awareness of timing.
Mare (Honorary Member) @warriorsofcrimsonrealms
Role: Wildcard / Unofficial Add-On
Specialty: Didn’t technically belong, but showed up often enough that nobody questioned it anymore. Treated Ruby like a second mother. Her chaotic, go-with-the-flow attitude somehow meshed perfectly with the Pavilion’s rhythm.
Aesthetic and Identity
Appearance: No uniform. Members dressed how they liked, so long as it worked. Some leaned into Void motifs, others didn’t bother.
Tone: Quiet, functional, and low-maintenance. No speeches, no drama. Just get in, do the work, and keep your balance.
Logo: A downward-pointing triangle inside a double-ringed circle - representing calm freedom through clarity.
The Empty Sky Pavilion wasn’t built to change the world. It was built for people who wanted space to move, time to grow, and the chance to fight without nonsense getting in the way.
