SAD HC/ It kills me that Reigen didn't get to tell Mob he was lying (even if Shigeo knew) I feel like he was robbed of his possibility to face his lies and be honest with people close to him (the espers kid, seri etc.) He is so deep in his lies and its awful, bc he can't stand for himself and says "sorry I can't handle this esper stuff I will get probably killed if I do so" or just ask for help from ex-claw members bc he is THE GREAT ARATAKA REIGEN GREATEST PSYCHIC IN THE WORLD WHO NEEDS NO ONE.
I just woke up with Reigen feels, first, @reallyreallylazy Mobtober drawing and now THIS but !! it’s all so good because it makes me think about how beautiful is this character. (I hope it’s okay I’m publishing this!!, there’s little manga spoilers, maybe they weren’t necessary to add qvq;;)It’s so great that you wrote this, because he is not an insecure and self-centered man, he believes in his words (he might lie, but his words give him a great back-up which makes them not bad lies. Though, he if he did not lie.. everything would be way too different. There’s many reasons why he is like that and they are all for good), he is ALWAYS focusing his mind on Mob (and morals, protecting the kids, know to know what is right, BEING A GOOD PERSON), to protect him and make sure he is safe. HE IS THE BEST DAD..!!! He is not thinking “maybe I shouldn’t go, I might get killed” nono, he keeps this Shishou role, sticks with it and confronts the world with it and it’s just amazing (and he doesn’t see espers as espers, he knows they are all humans and there’s nothing freaky or bad about it)Like the time he confronted Touichi and went to see Mob, he felt sorry for let him go on his own and he felt pathetic for that (he is just !!! so great and feelings hit very hard) And even if Mob seems more self-contained (I hope I’m using the right word like “independent”) he’ll still be there for him and worry for him… Reigen is amazing. HE IS REALLY THE GREATEST HE IS!!.. GREATEST HUMAN BEING.I was thinking about Arataka being like this with Serizawa, at first he is like “he is an adult, he can go on his own, of course” but then Reigen gets to see Seri getting more anxious about situations and that’s when Rei gets very aware and concerned it and thinks “I must protect this man” and becomes his therapy friend uuu uwuThank you for sending me this!!
