I dont know if you noticed but.. since tails is afraid of thunder .. why did kit have water powers? Since sonic is afraid of water why does surge have thunder powers 😦？
I came across this interesting bit of trivia that may have given me a new headcanon as to why Surge and Kit's ideal power sets are swapped:
Obviously Starline is wrong about his assumption of Tails. Massively so. And that gets proven over and over again throughout the course of the comics. So if Starline is wrong about something so fundamental, who's to say he even knew what their greatest fears were. Maybe he just didn't know Sonic and Tails as well as he thought he did. Maybe Surge and Kit's powers are a reflection of Starline's ignorance and hubris.
Or maybe he purposefully gave them those powers for the drama of it all. Seems like something he would do, honestly. I think this is the canon version also 😂
