Each touch was intoxicating. Dwight's head craned backwards slightly as soft kisses peppered the soft of his neck, a low noise of consent escaping from parted lips. He never would have anticipated not only falling for someone with such a horrendous history of violence and cruelty, but some part of him felt extremely eager to . . . fix him? A foolish desire, really, but he was getting better at making the stark differentiation between the Ghostface he encountered in trials and the man behind the mask. The one who'd become so inexplicably capable of softness towards the survivor that gave him hope for his redemption, at least in Dwight's eyes. They were all stuck in this mess together, after all, even if they were star crossed from opposing sides. Dwight's role as a survivor was just as permanent as Danny's as a killer. He doubted there would be any changing that, bore the guilt on his shoulders for staying, and desperately wished he had the strength to cut it off. But the survivor stayed. He had begged for a permanent death and Danny refused to even humor the idea, as outlandish as it was in the Entity's realm. He'd shown him a reason to live, even if it were for selfish reasons.

Dwight's arms snaked around the man's neck as he straddled the survivor's mostly naked form. His desire throbbed beneath his briefs and his breathing became unsteady as arousal claimed him. But it was different than before . . . it didn't feel purely carnal this time. . . in fact, it made his heart feel airy and light, quieted his mind and fed his desire for human touch. Such a feeling was exceptionally foreign to him, and part of him wondered if Danny felt the same way. Most likely for different reasons, but Dwight didn't want to question them or even consider selfish intentions at this point.

Hatch had been given to him on several occasions, and the Leader had noticed a significant difference in the way Danny held himself afterwards. He'd always been afraid of the Entity's retaliation, something Dwight couldn't even fathom but still hypothesized upon noticing the man's disheveled state that earlier that same night. He seemed pained . . . exhausted . . . not his normal self, and admittedly that scared Dwight. There was something Danny wasn't telling him, and as much as he didn't want to pry, he found it exceptionally difficult to disregard his concern.

As the unmasked man's hands drifted across his body, withdrawing from the survivor's neck, Dwight trembled at the touch and let out an airy sigh of want. As Danny's face neared his own, the survivor took initiative for once, leaning upward to claim his lips after a long, bated gaze into the man's hypnotic stare. There was something dangerous about it, as if Dwight could see exactly what he was capable by getting lost in those eyes alone.

Inexplicably, the Leader sensed something was wrong. Danny wasn't kissing him back as he usually did, instead it felt reluctant and forced, as if he were stuck in another world mentally. Dwight's eyes reopened and parted from the one-sided kiss.

"What's . . . what's wrong . . .?" An undeniable anxiety began to creep into his chest at such uncharacteristic behavior. Usually, Danny claimed his lips in a fiery passion and he could practically feel the desire boiling at the man's core. A desire that filled him with hope and made him feel . . . wanted. He would gaze into those sharp eyes and acknowledge the fear growing in his heart. Had he done something wrong? Did something happen in an earlier trial that Danny hadn't divulged? Or had he finally been punished for his leniency . . . ??

Danny's stare wavered in a melancholy manner, clearly evident that he was stuck in an exceptionally heavy train of though, though a small grin crept across his features after a few beats.

"Nothing," he said softly, meeting Dwight deep chocolate gaze once more. "Nothing at all. Just how beautiful you look beneath me."

Dwight's features flushed bright red and the anxiety was quelled, if only temporarily. He could only stare, captivated by those eyes, as a small, bashful smile tugged at the corners of his lips, warmth filling his core. It was love, it had to be. Dwight had never been in love before, but he couldn't imagine the feeling being any different.

As Danny's lips pressed against his own, Dwight couldn't help but abandon his concerns entirely. He'd never been spoken to the way Danny spoke to him . . . never been looked at the way Danny looked at him . . . never been physically satisfied from every sexual encounter as he was with Danny. It was all too easy now to let his guard down and allow his infatuation to take over and call the shots, trapping him in a willingly vulnerable naivety.

Dwight leaned up into the kiss, the taste of Danny's tongue sending pins and needles through his limbs and down his spine. It wasn't until he felt the kiss slowly dissipate that a sudden hitch registered in his throat as Danny gazed at him. Dwight's eyes went wide with shock, breath stalled and pupils trembled as disbelief welled in his stare. Wavering, his stare drifted downwards, trepidation flooding his irises as they settled upon an exposed hilt of an unmistakeable blade in his chest. His heart stalled, pierced by the unforgiving blade, gaze slowly returning back to the man above him. The man he loved, but had never admitted to. The man he would quite literally die for if it meant sparing him an ounce of pain, ironically enough.

The Entity didn't play fair. She played by her own rules and dished out punishments as she pleased to those who disobeyed, he was sure of it. For a moment he felt as if he could make out the glisten of tears in his eyes before Danny returned slowly to rest his mouth next to Dwight's ear.

In his last moments, the fading survivor felt the warm comforting breath of his lover.

"I'll see you on the other side, my sweet Dweetling . . ." Solemn, condemned to an intense emotion Dwight couldn't quite identify before he succumbed to a familiar dark void, Danny's words were the last thing he would hear before his life faded in the arms of the man he loved. As his lifeless form fell limp in the killer's arms, he found his voice once again, even though it would fall on deaf ears. "And I love you more than I ever thought I was capable of."

That's what made it hurt all the worse... the Entity was cruel and unforgiving, even to those who served her should they lose sight of their purpose in her realms. Danny would see him again, of that he was certain, and he'd be sure to take his Dweetling in his arms, place his hand over his heart, and cherish each pulse that he had just robbed from him.

The Entity was pleased.

this is totally anon.. -- I know we have just started following/interacting with each other BUT I love so much about how you play him! I love that you get so excited about EVERY single interaction. I can hear his voice in every one of your replies. you really seemed to have fleshed him out.. I love that you love him as much as you do, and it is evident in how you write him, all the musings posts that you reblog, and every thing else on your blog. I LOVE THAT IN THE MATTER OF THREE ASKS MAX WANTED TO CONTINUE TO TALK TO HIM. that I wrote up an entire verse bc of how well you play him, and the details that you put into him. this is jumbled and messy, but I just adore you and dwight.
