also. how funny would it be if link couldn't cook but dark link could. somehow cia managed to snatch link's cooking skills while also taking his arrogance and overconfidence and thus, the greatest chef dark link was born. gracing the enemies of hyrule with fabulous five star cuisine. gordon ramsay must be quaking in his boots right now

YEAH. No one on team Cia knows how to cook except maybe Wizzro lmaooo He's bound to have a one star chef or two in that mix of souls somewhere. Cia, I think, would only be able to bake and make chocolates if she ever puts her mind to it. I also think of the funny event of Zelda, Impa and Lana at some point having to bear witness to Link's terrible attempt at making food after any of the campaigns. In which he ends up making dubious food and they insist he leave it to the army cooks after that. And that would be SO funny. Not her stealing away his cooking skills in the process akdfjdskf BEHOLD, Hyrule's most insufferable five star chef

oooo any character? Alright I've had this one for a very long while. So for Volga- ya'll know those Lava dragons on that certain bridge in Eldin caves? These guys:

Yeah, I headcanon that Volga created them with his magic to act as security and guard his den. So just beyond that pile of rocks and lava back there is where he keeps his hoard and sleeps :] The lava dragons will snatch anyone who tries to cross that stretch of lava without permission so uh watch out.The bridge is also where Volga gets left peace offerings given to him by the gorons to, y'know, not eat them lol

hi, so um, i adore your script for hw, and i have decided to write in it to try it out. i ended up having to invent my own punctuation a little bit, which idk if you had your own ideas for that, but here is a letter link recieves from zelda in a fic im working on in the script :3

it was really interesting to see what mistakes i made as i wrote once i got into the flow of it - what i mixed up because of my english language ( kept writing 5 instead of the s a lot at first) vs what was moreso the script itself and what i could see someone accidentally miswriting due to muscle memory similar to how i do in written english. oh, and apostrophes would look the same as commas i think, in this. it just wasnt in this text specifically, in another one i tried out first

thank you again for making the script, its really cool and i was pondering doing it myself at some point but didnt know where to start. phenomenal effort and skill and the end product is something i think i will continue to use if thats fine with you :3

Oooo!! I am so happy you like it! I super like your idea for the characters used as punctuation. I think it fits really well with the flow and visual way it all comes together. Also you're absolutely cooking with the idea of having something to indicate a proper noun.

I did have my own idea for punctuation when working on the project, but I didn't end up liking it when testing so I didn't include it. Mayhaps, if you don't mind, I'd like to also use your idea when I play around with this more :D

But anyway, this is so neat to see and hear about. Thank you for sharing this with me!! Go crazy man, use it to your hearts content <3

Heh, you're welcome. And boy do I.

Okay so, Dark being made of shadow, it's in his nature to copy things. In battle and in most things, he reflects Link of course. But there are other little moments where he starts to mimic those around him.

Dark doesn't realize he does this. However, Volga sure as hell notices when Dark starts copying him. Just so happening to take the exact same pathing to places as he does, cleaning his weapon or armor at the same time, sometimes copying the way he stands or sits and so on.

Volga finds it irritating at first- probably thinks Dark is making fun of him, but later on when he finds out most of it, is completely unintentional, he ends up finding the trait amusingly endearing.

Another one I really like is that, Volga being a fire dragon and all, has higher body temp. To contrast that, Dark has absolutely next to no body heat. Touch him and it's like holding physical air. He is cold.

... Most of the time. See, his body can adjust to reflect the temperature of the place around him. So if you put him in, lets say, Eldin caves or near a fire he gets warmer. That said, he isn't around those things often, but you know who is around often? Volga.

Dark likes to stand and generally touch and be around him as his source of what physical warmth feels like.

Hehe of course. ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ Alrighty so Cia and Dink's soul-bound stuff

So besides what I said last, their bond is also what makes Dark so obedient to her. Her orders are imposed on him through that connection, where he receives them as a deep sense of compulsion to do what she asks.

That's not to say he can't go against her orders though, but if he does somehow resist that initial tug, the order would just continue digging itself in his mind until it gets done or Cia lets the order go. (Note: Certain types of orders don't need to be said out loud to be received. Example being like when he's summoned in battle to attack an enemy. That order is given with no words, however, both of them don't fully realize this is a thing as it's done instinctively.)

Their bond is also what allows Dark to be more perceptive to her emotions whether or not he realizes that. Let's him know when and how to best act around her.

Cia is able to track and find him through their connection no matter where he is via summoning portals. - (A bit of a tangent, but I like to think that Cia actually had Dink as the Temple of Souls unofficial guardian before things went down, which is why she summons portals to bring him into battle. Portals which will conveniently appear around him no matter where he might be in the temple :]c )

Cia is also able to siphon magic from Dark Link but not visa versa (He doesn’t know how and doesn’t dare try and find out.)

The reason Dark Link has a range of magical abilities is due to their connection. If Cia uses up her soul’s magic recklessly the way she did at the very end of the main story, he won’t be able to use any of his abilities anymore due to the fact above. (He’d just be reduced to normal person ™ abilities lol but he can temporarily get his magic back via magic potions)

Acquired Cia traits include:

Possessiveness and Obsession (This does not manifest in exactly the same way as Cia's does nor to the same degree. However it does make it so his whole world revolves around those he chooses to give his loyalty to and *only* them.)

Her tactical intellect (Part of the reason why he’s able to handle so more than one version of himself)

His curiosity for things is something he largely gets from her

And the way he’s particular about keeping himself looking presentable
