I also think of the funny event of Zelda, Impa and Lana at some point having to bear witness to Link's terrible attempt at making food after any of the campaigns. In which he ends up making dubious food and they insist he leave it to the army cooks after that.

when did the original idea for Vampire Warriors begin? what became your true inspiration for the concept/fic? i'm really interested since i genuinely enjoy Thou Shalt Not Fall and I absolutely love Vampire Warriors!
Vampire Warriors is the result of two things I really liked in 2021!
One of those things is obviously Warriors but the other thing is a movie from the 80s called The Lost Boys. I was reading some articles about it that year for some behind the scenes stuff and I also watched it with my mom again.
The title is actually a reference to the movie! It's from the main song called Cry Little Sister but I misheard the lyrics (it's shall not fall not shalt not fall OOPS).
Other than reigniting a love for vampires, the title, and the way Warriors' eyes look when he has his fangs out, I don't think there is a lot from the movie specific things that made it in. It is still very important though. There would be no Thou Shalt Not Fall of my Vampire Warriors if I didn't watch the movie again in 2021.

When it's the three of them I call them The Bugs, as you have noticed. but each one has a diff way that i call them
first we have lil ghostie (right) who i. i dont call him in any other way aside from firefly but only one person calls him that. well two if i count myself. he/him unless fairy form (fae pronouns) looks and acts like an 12 years old. and is Dead. well. no. kinda. THE POINT IS!!! he's a spirit and has very weak magic:( steals magic from others (without truly meaning harm) so he can avoid dissipating because of his oh so weak spirit/small magic reserve
then we have fairy (middle) who i also call lil buggie because he's such a lil buggie and i love himsoooo much. pronouns are the same w lil ghostie. he's 11 (recently turned 11!! yay!!) i made him as a younger version of Hyrule for the elu (all of them are from the Evil Linked Universe RP. this thing has made its way into my life that its not even funny or probably healthy anymore.) but slowly became his own person. Still, he's loz1 link, still going through his first adventure and. don't. don't look too deeply on his face he's okayyyy he's doing fineeee i prommy
and then. we have fuckass bug (hateful). which isn't actually a name but i like to call him that ok. fae's actually named either Evil Fairy, Fae, or Puck. Also rulie but only Green Legend calls him that i think. he/fae pronouns, just turned 17!!!! started as a joke blog for the elu which was mainly a fairy rulie but evil and that bit everyone, and then. then there was plot. and.and yeah. he's fucked up i have plans ok and i neeeeeeeeeed to get to them i can't avoid spoiling them forever aughhdghfdjsdew uiewjkfnds but yeah! can't say much abt faers current design (the one that is shown above) because.spoilers. buuuut i can talk abt past stuff which i will do. in a moment.
okokok first talking abt connections between them. theyre all the same guy! not in the sense of "oh they all are a version of hyrule" no. they're. theyre literally the same guy.
Puck and lil ghostie are literally. the same soul. well. they have the same soul and magic signature. they do not fully depend on each other. but they're still connected somehow.
Lil ghostie is a fragment of Puck's soul, one that faerself took out while wishing to get free from all that he despised at the time, and ended up creating this lil buddy
actually hope you don't mind im gonna grab smth that i had already written to explain this part because. yeah.
Lil ghostie is that fragment of soul that Puck took out of himself, he's all faers feelings, all faers emotions, the child-like wonder, all that stuff. In different circustances, if Puck had divided his soul in two exact pieces lil ghostie wouldn't be a. well. ghost, he could had the possibility of being solid, not just a spirit, manage to form a solid body, no matter if this one was weaker than usual.
but, because he's just a fragment, he's technically dead.
Lil ghostie during all those years he never left Puck's side, the weak fragment stayed hidden around Puck's soul, not uniting or trying to, just... around, living with bits of faers magic to not end up dissipating fully. It wasn't until recently that he gathered enough magic to be able to go on his own, still a very weak spirit, but at least he can be a weak spirit somewhere else! still, refilling his magic reserves on his own is hard and takes a while, so he tends to take from others at least a bit to be able to go around
Puck "created" lil ghostie when fae was 12, that's why he's trapped as staying that age, never aging, never growing or something, forevers a child. but yeah! that's the connection between these two
now. evil fairy and fairy.
Fairy is literally a version of Puck, not a random Hyrule version, it's an almost exact copy of fae. Timelines are fun and like to make jokes so he's a younger version not only of Hyrule in general, but a younger version of Puck!
oh this kid. he's such a dear. a ray of sunshine. not even i can believe that evil fairy was like this once. actually yes i do because i know things muahhahah but yay.
this kid enjoyed talking with people, making new friends, helping around in what he can! exploring so much exploring! you might have noticed that i used past tense there. yeahhh so. he's fucked up.

connection between fairy and lil ghostie? theyre buddies:3 one day they met and because of them sharing a soul/magic signature fairy can see lil ghostie without any issue (most people can't hear or see lil ghostie because he can't make himself fully visible to normal people without draining all of his magic and energy) and they chat and become friends! they got along in an instant, and since then fairy has a ghost buddy! not much else to explain here, i have plans for them (dont worryyyyy everything will be fineeee they will be okayyyy) sooo yeah!

doesn't remember a big part of his life, Puck kept most of the memories, the more painful ones that is tho. but also, fae kept all the memories about their family. their mother, siblings. all of them. only Evil Fairy remembers them clearly.
lil ghostie? can barely imagine a siluetee of how his mama looked like, and for some reason trying to remember her or any of his siblings just makes his very soul hurt, spiraling and breaking and barely holding together from crumbling. Why does this hurt so much? he can't remember why... he misses something, someone, but what- who was it? what was even her name? all of their names? they all had names... why does it hurt? what did they do? what did he do?
......yeah but he's a big silly! likes to help around! all that he wants to do is help! (maybe like that he can do amends with what he doesn't remember doing to make everyone leave) EJEM YEAH! could. explore more his character but is something that i want to do in the rp. i will look like crazy i'm fully aware of that BUUUUT THE NARRATIVE. DOES ANYONE THINK ABOUT THE NARRATIVE!!!!!!

Fae, as a fairy, is put inside a bottle for. who knows how long. probably a month or a bit more. barely eating and sleeping (i. i dont think fae ate that much now that i think abt it. fae was running with pure magic at some point) gets to escape but. uh. he now doesn't trust most people.
he becomes wary, still wants to help, but aside from those that he already knew he now doesn't trust most people. When he just got free he spent so much time wary of everything, couldn't go out without panicking and thinking that the fairy sellers could find him and trap him again and-- yeah. this same fear kept him from eating normally and sleeping. spent a long time not sleeping at all. kid how are you still alive. kid. kid hear me. go back with your mother please im begging you.
right now he's better! has made a few friends!! still. has a fear to being underground. only exceptions are with someone he fully trusts and that the space isn't dark (reminds him of the time with the fairy sellers, who traveled in dark tunnels) otherwise he might spiral and panic and. that's no good. if you could guess.

HHHHHH where do i start. i hate him. so much. so so much that. he's my favorite by far.
fae's a bitch, an opportunist who takes advantage of those around him, searching to get what fae wants, to gain control, power. to turn others into a funny joke to make faerself laugh and laugh and laugh until--
until all is forgotten. until all that haunts his life is just a faint whisper in his mind easy to ignore. until he can stop feeling and feeling and no more feeling! so many complicated feelings and emotions! he wanted them all gone but they all still haunt faer! why? why can't they let faer alone?!
welp. another thing that i had previously written:
when he was 12, fae took out a fragment of faers own soul when pulling at the threads that connected with the things that he despised the most about himself.
This part of his soul was the core of Puck's feelings, his empathy, sadness, child-like wonder, all those things that he considered that made him "weak". he had to take them out, fae had to "fix" faerself after all.
Without the limitation of feeling in such a deep way, everything started to go downhill for him and his sanity, started to do.....not so nice stuff, fae has Killed that's for sure, when Puck was 15 there was already a price for anyone who got to trap (or even kill) the creature that has caused so many disappearances and deaths and property damage
This. This backfired so badly. surprise surprise! Feelings are a core element on any mortal's soul, so. fae couldn't live forever blissfully unbothered by The Deep Feelings. So! What happened next? His soul tried to fill what was missing, what was taken out in such an agressive way.
When elu starts Puck was somewhat. stable. somewhat. fae was still not in the best mental state to be, well, a nice enough guy to let a grieving child Alone. yeah. together with recently figuring out how to turn evil (spoiler: fucked him up even more. but he's a good liar) it wasn't the best combo.
Going back with the soul thing filling what is missing, slowly but surely he started to Feel again, which normally would be great! yay! empathy and caring and happiness! sadly. none of this is normal. funny to consider that possibility.
Fae, after living years without acknowledging his own feelings and moods and how fae truly felt, wasn't able to truly tell what fae felt now that he was starting to feel again, emotional regulation being almost nonexistent. When Puck started to "care" about Kheel it messed up the work that he had been doing with her, making her mad when fae started to try too hard to keep the act up and. well. byebye magic. almost squished to death. yay.
The turning hylian again and no magic arc he seemed rlly calm and seemed to start to get better no? welp. sike! fae was being miserable all the time! as i said he is a good liar, and a great actor too, but eventually fae couldn't keep the act up for longer. Not knowing how to regulate his own feelings this lead to depression, a sense of guilt and so many other emotions at once that fae couldn't manage on faers own (which means. ALL OF THIS! COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED! IF THE FUCKASS BUG TALKED ABOUT THIS STUFF! BUT NOOOO!) which. welp. made him run away. and almost jump into a river. to put it lightly.

not being able to tell what you truly feel, how to regulate yourself, if you're feeling too much or nothing at all or both at the same time. fucks you up a bit dont yall think. its just a theory.

this guy had a mom, which was named Nameli (same name as fairy's mama!) and also a lot of siblings, grew up in a fairy fountain in calatia after all (forgot to mention but it's probably obvious: evil fairy n fairy and also lil ghostie all have faerie blood, although evil fairy is more than just an hybrid between hylian and great fairy but shhhh that's for the future)
but yeah he! had a lot of family!
when fae came back from faers adventure (with a ruined arm that can't be moved without pain because of healing wrong, big burn scars, a shoulder somehow still working, and unable to change back and trapped as a fairy because a wizzrobe wanted to be funny) there was. no one at the fountain. only weird berries.
mom? siblings? all gone. no one was left. what did lil 11 year old puck think that happened?
They all abandoned him. they all hated him. fae was a mess now anyways, makes sense, no? useless, can't do most stuff that gave faer a purpose or worth, besides fae left without saying a word, didn't told them that fae would go for a walk, that turned into a tiny adventure, that turned into a quest, that turned in. this.
he wasn't enough, he was broken and ruined and. fae needed to fix faerself, to fix all that was broken and useless. to fix that took down his worth. to become worthy. useful. have control. he needed control.
thread magic was (sadly) the thing that fae found, and he assumed it would help with what he wanted.
Started practicing. and. this thing gets into your head, it's addictive, changing and changing and having the power to change things at your will and you need to do it more, more more and more and have control over things and power and look! no useless! fae can do stuff and nobody should abandon him now because fae's useless!
... why nobody wants to be with faer? oh so he still needs to fix faerself! right!

a while ago, i said that alcoholism would have been a healthier coping mechanism for evil fairy, and i still stand for that. It would have been healthier for him, AND everyone/everything around.
thread magic is forbidden for a reason. it's basically dark magic. and im not kidding this thing will turn the best of intentions into such a disaster. a really harmful one. no matter the intentions anyone that uses this thing will end up with their head messed up at some degree. and for the bad luck of Everyone in the elu this fucker happened to share the base spell to a grieving bird child.

I really want to talk about Wars as Sans and Twi as Papyrus, but I still haven’t figured out all the kinks yet -~-“ Cause honestly, at first glance it makes more sense for Twi to be Sans and Wars to be Paps like, personality and clothing wise. At first, I just really wanted the Sans fight to be with Wars cause I just think him being the Judge just fits better. And Twi works better as a scolding brother type, while if Wars tried to scold you feel real bad. Idk how to explain it. There’s more to my reasoning but I feel like it would be better to get say, “Wars saying ‘Get Dunked On!’ goes hard and also Twi just has more Paps vibes. It’s all vibes.”
I was also just juggling the Links around in different parts to see what would stick tbh. Sky, Four, Legend, and Wind were all pretty much set in stone immediately tho. I originally wanted Wars to be Undyne, Wild to be Sans, and Time to be Alphys at first lamo. Wild is pretty carefree and he could totally work as Sans, but he also worked the best as Alphys to me. So Time had to be someone else, and Undyne was the best I could think of. He could also work as Asgore, but I deemed Hyrule would be better for that since he’s 1) prophesied to be a king in his 2nd game and that would be fun, and 2) he’s the OG Link, so it would be extra fun. Also, Time still has his girl, Malon, and Asgore must be a lonely guy.
Also the Zeldas, oh the Zeldas. I’m so excited to get to them. They’re kinda shoved off to the sideline in this AU since it’s focused on the Links(also LU is kinda focused on them as well lol), but they are incredibly important. They are currently “missing” in LT canon, however, as you can probably tell from the quotes, they aren’t actually missing. Someone knows exactly where they are…and the truth of what happened to them. You can probably figure out what I mean by that, hehehe.
Although I dunno what I want to do with the Shadow. Since this AU is kinda a dream Legend is having, I want it to be the Shadow’s fault, even if it’s unintentionally. Idk I just want him to do something. He can’t be Gaster, I’m thinking either the First Hero or the Fiece Deity would take that role. Also, the River Person-Spirit. He’s still wearing that cloak tho, so Legend would be none the wiser…not like he would care much, unless he happens to meet Spirit during his actual adventure with the Chain, in which it would be very weird.
ALSO I can say also a lot. And Legend doesn’t tend to remember the dreams after he wakes up. Maybe some extreme feelings(I so cannot wait to show what happens after a No Mercy run!!!), but no real memories. He does remember when he’s back in the dream, however-he remembers it all. There’s no way to delete a save file in that world. Player!Wind will be stuck with the choices he makes.
