Fang and Hiro are thrown into knowing each other via bot fighting. It’s instant friendship from there. He thinks she is completely amazing and begins to immediately crush on her. A girl his age that seems completely bad ass and is into bot fighting? Perfect. The more they hang out the more he likes her. 

Even if he finds out her secret I picture he’ll still want to hang out with her and try to get her into a better lifestyle because that’s his friend and the person he likes. Maybe someday the two can hit it off :D.
