“... Another year.”
(( also I just want to say I’m super emo that Camilla almost pushed Xander out a window its a moment that was super fucked up but also really cemented that.. they were gonna be ride or die for each other as siblings and survive ))
💭 alright miss camilla and miss tati and maybe delthea
“I have yet to see much of that adorable little boy, but Corrin speaks so fondly of him, so he has my thanks for being her well regarded friend. I also find it rather comforting he isn’t the only one who was, ah, surprised with the... utter gift it is to wear your homeland’s crown.”
“Oh, Alm? Pretty neat I guess. Certainly way cooler than Lu could ever be. I just hope he doesn’t become too responsible, though, y’know? Luthier is enough of a stick in the mud for, like, the whole world.”
“Oh, he is such a wonderful young man! Why, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a finer example. Works harder than almost everyone I’ve met, and I just know he’ll do great things for Valentia. And that’s not even getting into how he rescued me with no prompting needed!”
"You did really well, Big Sister!" Megan chirps, giving a smile to her elder Nohrian sibling. Camilla seemed to not be in such high spirits, and that worried her. "Do you want go get some shaved ice together?"
This day had been... unpleasant, for her. Many would say it was her fault for getting so fixated upon victory, that the tourney was cursed (it was, after all, Friday the 13th), but when it all boiled down... She had lost. Regardless of the circumstances around it, she had come just short of victory...
Well, the most apparent victory. Her sister’s voice allowed her a moment of sobriety at last. She had said so herself what she was fighting for, and now here it was.
“That would be... Quite lovely, sweetheart.” She said with a small nod.
"You did really well..! Thank you for the fun!" Raphael smiles as he extends his large hand to the Princess. (U guys did well ♡)
Ah. Him. How she could hardly believe she was beaten by a man who called himself a student, how despite besting Hel herself and thus all but assuring victory to bask in and share with her siblings, she had lost.
Suffice to say she had spent her evening mulling over whether she was going to wring his neck or spare her dear siblings the worry of having to smooth that over. Which the latter thought won- no, no, it wouldn’t do to have everyone up in arms over it and she was more respectable than that -but needless to say she doesn’t reciprocate the same level of cordiality. Her grip on his hand is far too tight.
“I’m glad you enjoyed a mere taste of Nohr. Perhaps you should come visit for a proper introduction to what I- what we, are capable of.”
The pendant emits what sounds like a sighed out warble, shuddering back and forth before... disappearing from Camilla's neck, appearing a few paces before her instead. "... Failed. Sorry." A flash of flames appears for a moment... before it's gone entirely, as if the pendant had never been.
“Wh-” She barely has time to get a word out before the odd pendant makes an equally odd exit from her life. An enchantment she had figured- she was aware of the arcane arts, after all -but in this is something... different. She wasn’t sure if the voice was the girl’s distorted beyond recognition, or if perhaps the thing had a mind of its own.
“... Well then. Perhaps I wasn’t using that favor to its fullest potential...”
“…”
“Hm.”
